When can I expect to see Christmas tree ads?

A glimpse at how government grows was provided the other day when, first, news broke that there was going to be a new 15-cent tax on Christmas trees and two hours later the decision to levy such a tax was put on hold.
In the first story, the United States Department of Agriculture said such a tax would be used to fund a new promotional program to enhance the marketing of Christmas trees to improve their image.
Improve their image?
Well, the old blogs went crazy and the president took the blame as Scrooge for another tax. I am reasonably certain that Barack Obama would tax air in the event it is not equitably distributed, but I was hard-pressed to conclude that he sat around the Oval Office dreaming up a Christmas tree tax.
It turns out that Christmas tree growers, as an industry, had apparently beseeched the government, as far back as 2009, to intervene on their behalf. Too many people are buying fake Christmas trees, and in order to boost sales of the real ones, the growers would send 15 cents for each tree sold over 500 to the Ag Department. The Ag Department would then use the money to fund a marketing campaign, like the ones behind the "Got milk?" and "Beef, it's what's for dinner" ads.
That isn't Obama's doing. That's the fussing of Christmas tree growers. In order to capture all growers, I suppose they intend to make it a government program and then all growers would have to contribute.
