That's why we have movies (docu/feature) And why I would let most "war crimes" go under "hot" fire emotional, confused conditions but some of the cold blooded decision to kill need punishment.

Rusty Calley was unambiguously a war criminal. But he was the exception and not the rule. His crime did not reflect US policy. And he deserved severe punishment, IMO. Rounding up people, herding them into a ditch and killing them, is way too close to Babi Yar for my taste. But Rusty Calley did not accurately reflect the service of Americans in SE Asia.

"It's Bush's fault, Bush did it first, Bush was way worse." I'm guessing the Democrats set the all time record for running against a previous president with Hoover. They ran against him for about 30 years. But Deadmeat's off to a good start. BTW, I like Robinson, I just disagree with him.
His analysis here conveniently ignores Deadmeat's trillions of dollars added to the debt. Including nearly a trillion poured down the rabbit hole of "stimulous." This spending was supposed to keep unemployment at or below 8%. It's now comfortably above 9%, with no sign of improvement. Of course next week Deadmeat's going to "pivot to unemployment," by offering some useless, at the margins, suggestions for how to fix the problem. The "stimulous" bill, which was primarily aimed at stimulating Deadmeat's union allies, was justified on the basis of "shovel ready projects." The president now jokes that there's no such thing. Ahem.

I read Will all the time and see both of them on TV from time to time. Those two I like. I can even stomach Bill Krystol. Brit Hume is the anti-christ though.

Job killing regulations and paper work requirements don't look good for a president "pivoting to jobs" after only two plus years of 9% or better unemployment. Kind of a disconnect, don't you know.

Several of us has been saying for awhile now that we elected a Bush 2 clone. I wouldn't be shocked if he get reelected per Bush 2nd term with boring or too far (right) candidates.
