Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

Let's see, peace talks going on, and the Israelis decide to setup 900 new settlements in an area that's supposed to be Palestinian. Any destabilization is totally Obama's fault for calling them on it. Actually this whole situation with them expanding, sounds suspiciously like lebensraum. As do many of the arguments in support of Israel, as though they should be allowed to steal land, so long as they pay back Palestine at some future date.

Palestinian according to whom and why?

If I look up "lebensraum" what am I going to find?

As for your "better question", why do the extremists in the Israeli government think this is a good idea? I dunno, they're extremists that the PM falls in line with or he loses his job. If I had to guess, they either aren't afraid of another war, since the muslims can't get their act together, or they want to be seen as the victim, and get big brother America involved in another country. I'm sure the end of days crowd in the US would love such a situation.

No... try again... answer the question. Why do they want to do so... go into detail "I dunno" isn't an answer. I see here one partial idea and a series of slurs. Answer in full.

Let me ask you this, why should American continue to support Israel in everything they do? Why are they beyond reproach?

If they are in the wrong they are in the wrong and that should be addressed. Nobody is beyond reproach... but most of these bromides are nothing but a sad call to a past we think we've left... and you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Extract the legitimate issues from the bromides. Nobody is beyond reproach but obviously there are other issues you are only touching the surface on.

Frankly, I want you to talk more because I have a feeling about how you believe. I just want you to tell everybody else here... in detail. Explain it all my friend.

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

anybody who thinks the Palestinians have a legitimate cause needs to read history. period.
That way you would know why they have a legitimate claim, and how people claiming otherwise are ignorant of history from even the 1940's, let alone the thousand years that they lived there before that.

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

And you expect me to take you seriously?

sorry I'm not up on every term in the world... then again I have an inkling where I might find the term... and I already don't take you seriously... why not answer of a few of those questions to make me change my mind. I think I know why you are familiar with that term... I think you're somebody who spends a lot of time in the anti-Zionist/anti-Semetic "stream" of the american-left.

Explain to me and show otherwise. I bet you can't.

Yes I'm going to waste my time showing why I am not part of some movement. Just as you should explain why you're not part of some equally "bad" group. Nice association fallacy.

And the zionist movement is no different than if someone wanted America to be returned to the Indians. After all, they inhabited this land FAR FAR FAR more recently than jews ever did modern day Israel. But someone who supports the jews being given Israel isn't going to make the same claim to give land back to the Indians, even if it was just the land lawfully given to them by the US govt.

I think I've got enough to tell me what you think. The fact that you won't explain your own thoughts tell me enough on its own.

I'll attempt to see if you are too far gone... any opinions on the Hamas charter... this should be an easy one.

Meanwhile while we aren't trying to cast Israel as sinners as has been the hobby of progressives since the 1960s.

So basically Libya and Syria see the winds are and arguing for palestine to use this situation for more crazy by threatening "armed resistance". Congrats to Obama on enabling these people.

 Hamas Charter isn't that much different than an untold amount of other charters that came before it. Unsurprisingly it's religious based. But you go right on with that association fallacy. As if by somehow I don't support zionism, I must support a similar but opposing movement.

In a lot of cases, Israel are sinners and the aggressors, denial is not just a river in Egypt.

And you completely miss the Palestine president dismissing the idea in that article, and that the groups are calling for it because of frustration over the talks, and Israeli giving them the finger by continuing to expand into Palestinian lands during the peace talks.

Is this situation really that hard to understand?

Country A is forcibly taking land from Country B illegally
Country B is not happy with this and is being pushed to retaliation because talking about it is not working.

While Patman C claims Country A is just an innocent victim in the proceedings.

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

Sorry, but the Palestinians had their shot on multiple occasions and every time they walk away. Look back in the early 90's Israel was going to give them almost everything back minus Jerusalem (which they have no claim to...in fact no one does) and Arafat walked away from the table. They don't want peace, they never did. If they did why did they reject the 1948 agreement granting them land...or the 1993 attempt? Or any of the other subsequent attempts at peace over the years?

I am not an Israel apologist despite being Jewish and having relatives there, in fact I am probably the least "Pro-Israel" person I know or at least one of them, but dont give me this crap that they (the Palestinians) were screwed...they screwed themselves. They allowed a terrorist and mass murderer to not only lead them but rip them off for millions. They supported him OPENLY when the Israeli Government gave in to every demand (****ing off pretty much every Israeli...leading to Rabin's assassination) and the Terrorist flicked off the world and walked away. They attack soldiers then cry foul when the soldiers fight back. They blow up women and children, innocents who have nothing to do with any of this and then expect Israel to just walk away quietly. (as does 3/4 of the world) You ever notice they aren't attacking the Jordanians or Syrians nearly as often despite the Jordanians slaughtering them and putting them in horrendous refuge camps and the Syrians well just killing anyone they choose to no matter race? What is the difference between Jordan, Syria and Israel...I will give you 2 guesses but you will only need 1. Fact is of all the countries in the Middle East Israel treats the Palestinians best...yes that is sad.

I feel for the Palestinians, they have gotten a raw deal and have been a pawn for the last 60 years but ya know what, if they want to look at the root cause of their problems it isnt Israel, it is their "Brothers in Arms" that use them as Cannon Fodder in their quest to rid the world of Zionism. They are like that kid brother we all know who is so desperate to befriends with his older brother he lets his brother and his buddies make fun of him, beat him up and embarrass him just so he feels accepted then blames everyone else for how bad he feels all the time. Maybe if the Israel felt Palestine would hold up their end of the bargain, or even negotiate in good faith they wouldn't be where they are now. But fool me once...

BTW Foxton, I dont mean this as an attack on you, I, unlike Patman dont think you are anti-semetic or whatever BS rhetoric he and his Glen Bleck persona has insinuated, just stating the view from the other side. Hell I am pretty sure this is not the first time we have had this convo nor will it be the last...fact is in this fight no side is innocent.

This. I worked with a Palestinian who was one of the most patriotic Americans I've ever met - and this was in TEXAS! He would literally get choked up when talking about how grateful he was that the US allowed him to have citizenship, because he'd been refused by just about every Middle Eastern country you can name.

The fact is that the other Muslim countries want the Palestinians to remain without a homeland so that they'll continue to be a thorn in Israel's side - why bother to confront Israel when you can have the Palestinians do it for you by proxy?

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

The fact still remains that in the recent weeks the Israeli government completely snubbed Joe Biden on his visit there. They renegged on a previous agreement not to expand settlements while Biden was meeting with Netanyahu. Is our government supposed to just go "OK, thats cool you can do the opposite of what we tell you while an important leader is meeting with you to try to promote the peace process?" Come on, if anything Obama is showing balls by actually standing up to Israel and showing that we are not an unconditional ally.

As far as why Israel is expanding the settlements? The reason is that it is becoming more and more apparent that an East Jerusalem capital of the Palestinian state is going to be necessary for a real deal to happen. Israel is slowly land-grabbing and cutting off as much of the East Jerusalem territory that they can. Of course all this means is they have to spend more money and resources protecting their settlers after a deal happens.

Do you read thoroughly enough, or just like to mischaracterize?

Yes, that's a rhetorical question of course, Mr. Black Pot.

Hmmm...

Patman was all but saying Foxton was anti-semetic, anti-zionist and racist, begging him to "prove me wrong" and them painting an entire movement in the same light. How exactly is that NOT like your Fox News hero?

Let me guess, because you agree with Patman? :p :D

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

You mean Foxton isn't anti-Semitic?
I wouldn't hate them so much if they just gave me the jew gold that they keep around their necks, and not try to give me the fake one like I don't know their jew tricks.

Re: Obama 10: Rahm it through.....even in the shower.

I was never given the jew gold...ya see in the mid 1950s my fellow jews realized they needed to have a certain amount of non rich jews to offset the bankers, doctors and lawyers and make it seem like not all of us were part of the vast conspiracy. My family lost the lottery so I was given pyrite instead...that is why I eat bread during passover and still chomp down bacon!

That's just what a jew hiding gold around his neck would say.
