Notre Dame in Hockey East never made much sense. Big 10 makes much more sense. The biggest thing Hockey East will miss is the exposure on NBCSN.

This is stunning given the long bad blood between the conference and ND. This could open a door for them to join in all sports.

ASU will obviously join to make it 8.

The NCHC is obviously behind this move. Will they stop at nothing in their insidious attempts to ruin college hockey?

They should have fully joined the Big Ten years ago.

Re: ASU - is there any other B1G non-hockey school that could legitimately have a team 18 months from now to give them 8 teams? If so, would they then want ASU as a 9th team?

Nebraska has an arena.

Everyone else would need to renovate, rent, or build.
