Not nearly as good a period for our boys. Fortunate to still be 0-0. A couple of our defense men just seemed to be ineffectively waving at the puck to try to get it out of the zone or meekly pushing someone instead of forcing them off the puck. No names, but the usual suspects. For the early part of the game, ND had to respect the size we had out there was seemed to be skating with their head sup more. Second period, very different and no question they controlled the play. We will have to see which RPI team comes out for the final 20 minutes. Far too much time spent in our zone and passing the puck down to the corner near the goal line with the man far to free to set up a centering pass.

We're going to have some penalty shenanigans, at least Reilly for RPI and Peeke for UND... didn't hear the rest of it; will check the live stats.

It will be just the two players mentioned; likely to remain 5v4.

Started to get back in it at the end a little bit and have some good back and forth. Perhaps that leaves a hint as to which one's coming out...

Faceoffs are now RPI 22 - 21 Notre Dame. Wiffen's improved up to even, Tironese is struggling, Hayhurst still doing well.
Shots are RPI 3^2 - 5^2 Notre Dame.

Seems to me that all games are running about 15-20 minutes longer this year. not sure of all the possible reasons but cleaning the ice at the ten minute mark of a period could be partly responsible.

Not much to report on the recruit side of things, either. The three players that would be playing now are all dressed.

Still giving up that clean loss in our own defensive zone on the penalty kill too often and we got away with one that period.

Very obvious trip and RPI gets a power play. Looked decent on the last one, hopefully we can build on that and maybe get one in here.
