As an aside, I've donated my tickets to the Blue Line Club. It would be interesting to see how many times they get resold. I watch every game on line, and so far our seats remain empty.(Easy to check as our seats are right behind the bench)

Great win Cadets and congrats to Matic, 2nd shutout in his 2nd start. Sweet pass from Janke to Mulvey for the first goal, and Cotnoir with the hat trick from great hustlers, Thomas, Duszynski, and Mulvey. Nevin Lawler had a great game, sooner or later, he will connect with the net. You had all your fans holding their breath, but you made it worth while. Can't wait for the prime link! Also, heal quickly Blake Forkey.

Depth chart for the Cadets seems pretty good. Forkey's injury gives the team a chance to show that there are quality players willing to step up. That and having three proven goalies doesn't hurt either. Let's hope Blake is back soon.

Pier-Olivier Cotnoir’s cannon roared again when his power play shot sailed past the NEC goalie for the win. The team’s speed and agility was superb but in the end it was Pier’s shot that won it. Great weekend for Pier with four goals for a great player. :D

I have one small concern—and that is who fairly manages the statistics at these games?

Actually an NEC fan sitting next to me pointed out that as Norwich was peppering the NEC goal in the third period—numbers on the score board shot count stood still—including when Countier scored his winning goal.

We both agreed that it was likely being managed by a well intended but partisan NEC fan and was not the official shot count. Apparently not so as I noted this AM while looking at the final stats on the NU website that NU’s third period SOG still had not moved. I cannot believe that NU was outshot by NEC in the third period. Really a small point as SOG are in the end meaningless to the out come—but I am curious on how the stats are managed?

Peach I hope you are right but with a lot of tough games on the schedule before the holidays his absence could effect the production of the line he is on and the power play. In my opinion he was one of the key players on the team. But Matic Marinsek look good against St. A's on Friday.

Hey Old Rook ... Shot numbers are often off line with what goes up on the scoreboard ... at least at NEC yesterday they corrected the numbers on the board between periods to reflect the official numbers ... something that for some reason we can't get them to do at Kreitzberg.
On our broadcasts Tanner Acebo keeps shots ... he is very accurate ... and yes he had NEC outshooting NU ... I think it was 8-6 ... in the third period yesterday.

Another tough game yesterday afternoon, but the Cadets never gave up. What I really like seeing is that the mistakes made in the first period are improved upon in the second and third. Good coaching and motivated players make all the difference. The team is gaining experience rapidly, partially because of the injuries and changes in the line ups. Nice to see the new guys getting a chance and standing up to the challenge. Depth continues to be Norwich's recipe for success.:)

This is Blake's dad. He wanted me to express his thanks for all the well wishes he has received from the Norwich fans and is looking forward to returning after the break.

Thanks Puck Voice. I stand corrected--and admittedly I do recall that in the fleeting moments of the 3rd period--NEC was doing its own peppering of the NU goalie. And thankfully to no no avail.

Looking forward to the Prime Link as the four teams arrive with a combined record of 16-3-3. No doubt it will be both competitive and fun to watch some great DIII hockey. Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I think they'll need a smaller cannon for Kreitzberg...

Hey, are those seats in Section 17, row C? If so, they're right next to mine. You're right: the only time someone sits there is when the Cadets take over the rink and sit in all the empty seats ... as they did in game 1 this year.

Blake's Dad, your son has been my favorite player since he first stepped onto K'berg ice. We've missed him a lot when he's been out. Hope to see him back soon.

Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

Maybe I should do a "presumptive booking" in Lake Placid for the 3/15, 3/16 games so my Cardinals will get there !!!
