Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

You can be assured that I will be trying to get it on the plane. (I know from past posts, that if my use of the word "assured" is incorrect, you will correct me, like Professors Cutts or Jestes (Sp?) would have done)

I'm a math guy, but yes, I am a stickler for using the correct word. I remember Rich Cutts and Dallas Jestes very well. They were good people.

1+ Jestes was a first class English professor. I took creative writing for him.

In the meantime, I am delighted that our alumni friends from Babson see any potential match up between our two schools as nothing more than adding more luster to an already solid rivalry between two excellent programs. But as someone said earlier--who does McShane play in goal?

But I remain biased, e.g. Good luck Cadets!:)

Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

WIth all due respect to your praise of our excellent goalie, the Babson senior class record against Norwich is a total team effort not one player. Our goalie has not scored a single goal in any of those game etc etc. He would be the first to tell you its all about the team.

That was not an intended slight to the rest of the team.

Coach Rice runs a first-class program and I always enjoy our games with Babson. You are correct that the senior class has found ways to give Norwich fits over the years. I think PT Donato is one of the most underrated players in the New England region. Excellent hands and great ice vision and a beast in the faceoff circle as well.

Leer, Haseley, Hines and Smith all stepped up with some big contributions this weekend as well.

You're 100% correct Babson won with a team game. They blocked an awful lot of shots as well.

Couldn't have said it better, Babson is such an underrated team. Testa makes the saves and the rest of his team (Be it Donato, Smith, Leer, or Berto (Who is also a beast) they get the job done. I am hoping for another classic matchup, if they get past Wentworth (Matchup favors the Beavers greatly).

Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

No disrespect at all to the rest of the team from me. All I'm saying that Testa was awesome good

Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

Tickets are now available for the Norwich quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 9th.

You can go online and purchase at www.cadetstickets.com.

Babson/Wentworth fans will have a block set aside for them once they know which team advances.

Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

Thanks Prez & Charlie for being very prop and setting online ticket NCAA Quarter ticket purchases. Just got off line & purchased both men & women tickets.:)

Re: Norwich hockey 2012-2013: Our thread closed before Owsego's

Prez, again thanks for letting us know about the tickets. But, just like last week, very few seats available and none together. I am assuming that may open up some later this week like they did before the ECAC tournament games. Am I going to make an ***** of me by assuming this? Please let me know so I can buy what little is left. Thanks for your hard work.

I had a dream last night.

Norwich defeats Babson (and solves Testa) in the quarterfinals on Saturday to advance to Lake Placid.
Norwich beats Oswego State in the semifinals at Herb Brooks Arena on the following Friday.
Norwich wins the national title against St. Norbert in double-overtime at Herb Brooks Arena on Saturday on a goal by Pier-Olivier Cotnoir.

and then PuckVoice goes on a well deserved vacation. :)
No actually he comes back to Vermont to broadcast the girl's Division One bouncy ball final the following Monday night ... Vacation? What's that.

+1 I'm not keen on my assigned seats and for both the ECAC-E final weekend and this NCAA quarterfinal looked for different seats towards the south end and couldn't find two seats together. Finally gave up and just took my season tickets - IIRC the last time I sat in them was that great NCAA quarterfinal against Elmira back in 2010 - the place was packed.
