You know, I sat down and thought about it today. If Plattsburgh State played Norwich 25 times in a season and beat them all 25 times, Norwich would still manage to be ranked higher in the USCHO Poll. :D

Because Norwich didn't lose to Cortland....;)

Posted to my facebook page and shared it. As a quad not sure if I qualify but will look into it. Good luck Charlie! Last nights game seems trivial in the big picture, but they played like they had a goalie behind them for the first time I've seen them this year.

Prez, Crosby, anyone know what the issue was with Carrol's face mask the past two games. It seemed in had to do with his throat guard. Fill us in if you can.

I plan on asking coach tomorrow just what the issue is.

NUProf, age limit is 63 :-)

Actually, Charlie I was on the list, at one time because of my wife's friend. (Her bone marrow failed because of her chemo regimen for BC, a BMT saved her life). In any case, I was born in '46, - thus I am one of the oldest of the baby boomers.

Chin strap broke.

They ducktaped it for Friday night's game and I believe had to do the same for Saturday or do it more to pass the official's inspection.

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

Looking back at the Babson 4-4 tie Norwich scored 3 goals in under 2 minutes which has to a record for Norwich. There hasn't been too much talk about the Tory Allen line but they have been playing outstanding hockey for a number of games scoring key goals. I thought Norwich outplayed Babson for long stretches of the game but a few defensive lapses cost some goals. Norwich outshot Babson 46-22 and had many chances to score more goals.

Also was very impressed by the crowds at Kreitzburg (1765) for Saturday's game with the students back. Next year with the interlock gone will the games start at 7:00PM on both Friday and Saturday like the SUNYAC. This could cause addendance to go up.

I believe the games will still be 7 and 4

From all I have heard the plan is indeed to play Friday at 7 and Saturday at 4 ... but just to throw in my two cents I think Hawk has this one right! Saturday night games would bring a bigtime increase in attendance. Saturday night games at Kreitzberg would be HUGE!

Agree completely. I'd be all for 7 p.m. Saturday games.

The 4 p.m. games are just too early on Saturday with high school sports going on. Norwich had 200 more fans in the building on Friday than they did Saturday. Add that up over the course of 14 home games and that's a nice chunk of change the program could pick up.

Looking at the D3 schedules nationwide you see a lot of different start times but most of the big time leagues like the ECAC West, SUNY. and NCHA generally use 7:00PM start time, although there are many different start times. I just thought Saturday night games would add a lot of excitement to the stand alone ECAC East league. I realize some teams only have 200-300 fans per game so maybe a different start time for them wouldn't make any difference. On the other hand it just might increase local fan interest in there team. In Vermont many people skiing probable would not break away from a good day of skiing to see a hockey game.

Once again. I completely agree.

(yikes this is scarey.)
