Couldn't stand to have this thread fade to the second page. Anyone know when tickets are available for the tournament at Wick on the 31st and 1st?

The year end tournament including Nichols, Norwich, Manhattanville, and Adrian should be outstanding. I am interested in seeing Adrian in action for the first time, however, a lot of the hype seems to have left the program as the program matures. I think the first semester has shown how difficult it is to replace three outstanding defensemen, including Eric Talent who I believe made All American.
In other area tournaments I was under the impression Castleton was going to play in the Cardinal Classic which would of represented a good test for Plattsburgh, however, I see they are in the St. Mike's tournament. I know it isn't a good idea to play a team 3 times but another Norwich/Castleton matchup new years eve would of been a game not to miss in Central Vermont.
While there have been some defensive mistakes, I think the bigger issue right now is scoring and special teams play. The defense is still only surrendering 1.5 goals a game, which ranks third in the country. That's pretty darn good.
Why? What is your obsession with Castleton? They are a good team but there is no need to play them three times in the regular season. Are you suggesting we scrap the Northfield Savings Bank Holiday Tournament for a third game with Castleton? Thanks, but no thanks. I'll take seeing some new blood at the Kreitzberg with Nichols, Manhattanville and Adrian. That Manhattanville/Adrian game is a can't miss. I can't wait for it. I think the only games this season I'm looking forward to more is the Middlebury/Williams home weekend in Feb.
BTW- Charlie asked me if you had his steak ready for him.![]()
Tell Charlie I am working on the steak sub. Also often overlooked for Norwich is the loss of Steven Schroeder who had a huge year for Norwich last year. The Schroeder brothers in the NCAA game last year against St. Norbert's were outstanding on special teams.
Its a steak dinner, not a sub![]()

BTW, in 2004-05, Norwich went 18-5-3 overall, though 7 games went to OT.
It hasn't been resolved, but the two ECAC East D2 teams have been given 2 years to get the situation resolved. If they can get legislation or a change of status that allows their games to count as D3 games for the rest of the league, they can stay. If not, they are gone. So the situation will be resolved one way or the other in the next two years.I missed the D2 resolution. Could you explain what happened?
Thanks.
I am working on it. The Norwich record is not the school newspaper. It is a quarterly publication put out by the development office. The school newspaper is the guideonJust read an outstanding article on Norwich forward Kyle Thomas in the Norwich Record (school paper), with a lot of interesting quotes from Coach Mike McShane and former coaches. I tried to pull up the PFD file but could'n't locate it yet. Maybe Prez can help.

I'm trying to figure how hawk got a copy of this when my copy just arrived in the mail this morning. The Record is the official Alumni Mag that goes to all Alums and to other people that the "Development" Office wants to target, including faculty, retired faculty, parents, and potential donors. (I love the way that all institutions call their fund raising office the Development Office - call a spade a spade, not a digging implement, or a soil moving tool![]()
I'm betting Hawk pilferred one from the mailroom.![]()
