Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

I would assume then that the first day of official practice will be October 15????? What WILL you do with that extra month of hockey?? :D

Speaking more to this..I believe Plattsburgh is currently scheduled to play the US 18 and Under team on their very first day of practice on Oct. 15...Good luck! :)

Spread the games out during the second semester, I assume. I must be the only person who is against the early start (but I like the Dartmouth game, which couldn't happen without the early start.)

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

Curiosity question.....who initiated the Dartmouth vs. NU exhibition game, Norwich or Dartmouth? We played them in pre-season soccer way back in the day, but if memory serves me correctly, we played against their JV.

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

Hey Prof, you could wear the Green McShane's Army hat from the 2000 Championship game and a maroon sweater...not really sartorial correct but what the hey...I've still got my hat if you need to borrow one..:D

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

A Wednesday? That makes it harder for people who work. Oh well, I know I'll be there. I'll probably wear a maroon sweater and a green hat, or wear a green jacket and a maroon hat, or...

starting to sound like Prez

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

It'll be the first time I've seen my alma mater play my (ex)employer. Makes me like Prez-lite considering I only have two teams that I follow.

There's still time to outfit you with another one. :)

Norwich sounds like they want to keep me around for next year so fear not...no new teams to add to the Prezidential Entourage next year :D

All jibes aside, Derek, that's good news. You do a heck of good job.

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

This little nugget may take us the rest of the way to thread closure.

As stated previously, the Norwich men's ice hockey team will be opening its season against Division I Dartmouth next year.

The date is now Wednesday, October 26th at Dartmouth.

Get your tickets! ;)

With Thompson Arena holding 4500 people I would anticipate that tickets should not be a problem, however, this game should bring a lot of fan interest since D1 teams don't play D3 teams much anymore.

Last year Darmouth was 19-12-3 with a win over both UNH and Harvard so the game will provide Norwich a good tuneup for the regular ECAC E season. Game will be the biggest season opener for Norwich in a long time.

Dartmouth was a bubble team for the NCAAs this year, so it makes it all the more interesting.

Right! I guess that will make those captain's practices pretty important. Should be a good game, though. We'll all be ready for that one. Congrats on your employment too!

Thanks!!!! Can't wait for more Norwich Plattsburgh games on the Mens and womens sides. They were all great games this year. Circle December 9th on your calendar cards fans. The red birds will be invading Kreitzberg on that Friday nite to close the first half of the season with the students still in session.

I haven't seen a Norwich schedule, but dont' they go head to head with Plattsburgh at the "Prime Link" this year at Middlebury?

That would be the way it normally works, yes.

(Oh, and while I'm posting: Greetings from Brussels!)
