Get this straight, you get nothing until I get my steak. But to answer your question, yes I do know his name and team:rolleyes:

Couple of questions is the new addition going to open during the football Saturday afternoon? Also do you have a name and team for the new goalie?

Where's the best local steakhouse? Shall I make reservations so you can drown your sorrows on 9/26 after the Bills lay a whoopin on the Patsies;)

Norwich University: Get used to seeing my ugly mug.

See ya in a few weeks.

Prez:
Congratulations on your new endeavor with Norwich University. Hopefully this works out for you and is a stepping stone to future positions in on coming years. As a Div III hockey fan this move is win win situation for us.
With your new position has Charlie confided in you the third goalie or will you have to wait until your ugly face shows up on campus?
:)

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

Prez congratulations on your new position at Norwich. Nice time to join the program with both the men and women having great hockey teams; the mens football and basketball teams are also good. Does this mean we are going to get more timely info from the program than we currently do from CROSBYNU63? Should be able to pick up the goalie name on Saturday.

No

Same embargos are going to apply and Charlie is really quick with the recaps

Honestly, I would imagine being newer means he will be afforded less wiggleroom with the information constraints than Charlie is, so Charlie will still be faster at getting us information. If Derek announces something that is not to be announced yet, he will undoubtedly lose his job, whereas someone who has been with the program for a while like Charlie might be reprimanded and told he will be terminated after another offense.

Remember, being employed by Norwich Athletics does not mean they are just a source of information for us... it means that they are working at Norwich to make a living, and in all likelihood would very much appreciate maintaining that employment... rather than lose it so you can have the satisfaction of knowing a name that you will see printed on the back of a jersey in a few months anyway.

Side note: I was about to say "in a month or so" but then I remembered the stupidity of the NESCAC and scheduling constraints. That is, perhaps, one upside to this divorce for the ECAC-East schools

Let's not argue about the schedule thing. I like it they way it is because it makes for a really solid January and February without a bunch of weekends with no games because you spent them in October and early November. Your mileage may vary...

Another issue Nate, Norwich is a classy program and all about the team. We don't do the name on the back of the sweater (let's use correct hockey terminology here) thing. You gotta know the numbers.:D :D :D :D :D

Yeah, I remembered that shortly after I posted. Personally, I don't care if the names are there or not. I learn the numbers anyway :D ;)

Salem never saw the numbers on the back. All we saw were the darn cavalry attacking in waves.

Ah, the magical aura of class created by a single tenuous degree of separation. I know I've enjoyed the board's various reminiscences on the exploits of Anonymous Norwich Hockey Player #15 over the past summer. ;)

Hey, he's part of the team - the reality is if the team had no numbers, you'd still know who he is...

PrimeLink 2010 Great Northern Shootout
Will Norwich be selling their share of tickets for the Thanksgiving tournament through the Norwich website? If you go to the Cards website you discover they will not sell tickets over the phone. What a pain in the a** :(

Re: Norwich Cadets Hockey 2010-2011: Title defense time.

The third goalie for the Cadets is Sean Gerich ... he was 1st Team All State HS Hockey Goalie in Illinois at St. Rita High in Chicago, leading them to the state championship, winning the title game 3-1 before almost 7,000 fans at the United Center.
On the season he went 30-3-3 with a 1.75 goals against average and 4 shutouts.
He is a Rook in the Corps ... class 2014.
