Norwich Cadets '13-14 - A New Look Forward

It's the start of a new season and a new team. With all the incoming freshmen, how will the season go?

How did the new kids look?

With so many new faces, it was hard to tell who half the team was. But there were some notably performances last night. One thing you can see is this may be the quickest team of forwards (overall) in a while. I didn't see a pure speedster like C. Mulvey, but overall quick. Defensively, large but with a year of seasoning for the younger d-men, should be promising.

Looking forward to Nov. 1 to see how they have jelled, against a team with just as many first year players.

all the freshmen didn't look out of place at all certainly have some quickness and good skills around the net. tha defense seemed to move the puck very well.looking foward to see this team develop.loved the names on the jerseys, especially with all the new faces.

Not a fan of names on the sweaters for the home team, but so be it. I watch and listen to George and Tanner from my living room in CO. Now for various reasons, I'm told I'm in a 6 month no-fly zone, so no trips to VT this year.

Re: Norwich Cadets '13-14 - A New Look Forward

Hope everyone had a great summer, and glad hockey is starting up. If I can't be out in the garden, I want to be in Krietzberg? Couldn't make the scrimmage last night but hope to make the game Friday. Hope they keep the names on the jerseys for awhile, it will help me keep track of my new favorite rookies. Here's to a good season guys!

Ding Ding Ding ... the Alarm is ringing!
Plymouth State Friday night! Yes, this is REGULAR SEASON game! So who is there on Friday night at Kreitzberg?

Re: Norwich Cadets '13-14 - A New Look Forward

Supposedly a lot of rooks....

I'll be there in spirit and hopefully throwing NSN up on my Samsung in the living room, but the game starts earlier for me 5:00?

Will George and Tanner be on NSN as well as DEV?

Bueno, of course they will be competing with the Avs against Dallas starting an hour later, but I know what I'm watching

I am considering not going. I don't have much desire to see a game from the other side of the rink, and is the only regular season game in the history of Krietzberg arena to not be included in my season tickets.

Jerry, I thought the game was included for admission, but you just didn't get your regular seat. Sort of a free for all for the west side of K'berg. I bet the VIP section will be off limits to students.

Just pretend you're going to a game in Middlebury - I think it's a silly idea, too, but I'd go (and bring a blanket to reserve my seats).

Come on Jerry you can sit in the exact seats on the East side, and this is an extra game, replaces the Dartmouth game. I certainly would expect more from an old friend like you :-)

No big deal as far as seating/standing room goes since I just want to see how the new Freshmen turn out. From what I saw last year the students and UQTR had a few discussions when they were on the visitors side last year. But a large part of that was UQTR was a very aggressive team.

Re: Norwich Cadets '13-14 - A New Look Forward

Can anyone tell me what Jerry is complaining about, I have been out with back surgery and for some reason I am not getting any of Charlies' emails. I don't have season tickets yet, I usually buy my tickets on the web site. Will there be tickets for sale? I am hoping this will be my first night out since surgery and don't want to miss a home game!

Yes tickets will be for sale.

For this game only, the entire home side of the rink is completely reserved for students, while the away side is open-seating general admission.

This was done last year for the Trois-Rivieres exhibition game and as Jerry points out, this is the first time it's been done for a regular season game.
