You're kidding right? That was one of the better officiated games I've seen in awhile.

Oh, swell. We get to go to Houghton again. I would have preferred Bemidji. But at least we are in!

There were two calls that were not made that really got me ****ed. Walt looked pretty hot too.

I was next to the penalty box and was smashing the glass like a fool. Heard I made the broadcast... lol.

It happens, and USCHO's standings haven't been updated correctly and when I looked it showed NMU ahead of LSSU and I was confused then. Good luck next weekend.

NMU (12-20-4) @ Bemidji State (20-13-3) in the 1st round of the 2016-17 WCHA Playoffs this weekend.... NMU has scored (88) goals and given up (100) this season while Bemidji State has scored (82) goals and given up (68).... Can NMU go to Bemidji and take this series????

NMU's 2nd half season resurgence was due to their younger skaters playing well and great goaltending according to coach Walt Kyle.... Kyle said, “We had some guys grow and play better, we added Demico Hannoun to our lineup and Shane Sooth returned so that made a big difference for us.... We also had some young defensemen like Freshmen Rylan Yaremko and Philip Beaulieu and Sophomores Ryan Black and Connor Frantti play well for us too as they grew and got better to go along with Tolavanen's great goaltending so I'm proud of those guys for doing that.”

When NMU came to Kato, I was impressed with what NMU listed as their 3rd line of Payne-Diamontoni-Craighead. That was as good as any non-first line in the WCHA. Getting that scoring depth has to help a team turn things around.

Can NMU can go up to Bemidji State this weekend and take (2 out of 3) from the Beavers in the 1st round of the WCHA Playoffs???? I think they have a good chance to pull this off as Bemidji is (6-6) during the 2nd half of the season and are beatable right now provided NMU gets some good goaltending and plays smart.... What are your thoughts????
