Northern Michigan University Hockey 2017-18: The Grant Potulny Era begins

At least you admit they saw the hit. When someone leaves the game bloody, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out a penalty needs to be assessed. In the NHL that would have been at least a double minor.

I can’t tell you what they saw or didn’t see. I wasn’t in their skates.

You said "I didn’t see the hit from the same angle as the officials did in Anchorage"???

The last time NMU played Bowling Green in the playoffs, this year’s Senior class were Freshmen. Zach Diamantoni had a goal and Robbie Payne had an assist as BG won 3-2 in OT and 4-1 at BG. Michael Doan had 49 saves in the OT loss.

The last time NMU played Bowling Green in the playoffs, ... BG won ... 4-1 at BG. ...
Also: Mitch Jones was given a game misconduct for helping ensure referees Chris Perrault and Tony Czech stayed well hydrated; and I won $600 from their 50/50.
:D

I just watched the contact several times. Theree was no direct contact to the head. The only penalty that coud have been call was interference on the Bowling Green player.

Now we return you to our regularly scheduled NMU Hockey debate.

LOL, then how did he get the cut on his head?

Ok... Now that I got that out of my system, it seems that BGSU was the better team tonight...

The Cats seemed to have better scoring chances, but they couldn't convert. Coach Potulney said "You can't win if you don't score" in the postgame interview, and that simply seems to be the difference tonight. Bernard came up strong every time he was needed. On paper, the Cats won, but that don't mean squat. Hoping the Cats can come through with a repeat of Friday.

I hate a Game 3 tomorrow... Too many sour memories against BGSU with this

Bernard had some puck luck I swear he didn't see at least 5 shots at the end of the 3rd.

Felt the Cats played too hesitant, more a game not to lose. Which you usually end up losing.

The one in the first period that Payne put that bounced off the post and back out thru the 5 hole was one I haven’t seen before!

Congrats to the Cats on advancing. Why doesn't NMU post videos of the coaches post game interviews? They did when Walt was the coach. Their social media game is lacking severely.

Expect an announcement sometime during the midweek from TV6 & FoxUP about coverage for the game.
