Northern Michigan University Hockey 2017-18: The Grant Potulny Era begins

Re: Northern Michigan University Hockey 2017-18: The Grant Potulny Era begins

They won't be coming to Marquette on short notice like that. Besides, they already have MHSAA girls basketball on Saturday as well as a Pistons game.

Wonder how much they would need to pay STRETCH to get those rights? I know FOX sports won't care, though the local media might.

I see on Fox Sports Detroit+ they have Snowboarding on at that 7:00pm from Vail, Colorado this Saturday night. Why not cover the hockey game from Marquette involving two MICHIGAN teams instead? I think the vast majority of Michigan residence would rather watch the hockey game than snowboarding. It would be early enough in the week to make a change.

Fox Sports Detroit has Michigan high school girls basketball already scheduled which I can completely understand.

It would certainly be nice. I would think the WCHA Championship would have higher ratings than snowboarding. However when it comes to FSD and FSD+ if it's not named UoM or MSU they will show just about anything other than other in state schools...

My thoughts about my alma mater are not good ones after today.

Here I thought being an Alumnus earned us a little *smidge* of something other than harassing phone calls wanting a donation.

Here's a fu**ing idea NMU, I'll write you a goddammed donation check when you print me some goddammed tickets.

FOX will be covering it, though only the FOX UP station that broadcast through the UP

No question Atte is the real deal. Grant deserves his props but again Walt had made this team and when the injury/etc bugs died down lasy year, in the 2nd half they were rolling.

Following NMU Fan's post: I've moved on.

Atte gets some great recognition this year after continuing to be hot following last year's shutout record setting run. Grant gets well deserved honors for getting the Cats to the Title game.

This team has been fun to watch all season. I'm exited that the Cats have made it to the title game, which they've only done twice before in the last twenty years.

Go Cats Go!
