Correct. I see JM's only competition as being Jerry, for the unprecedented 1000th win. I'm not seeing anybody from the other conferences, including Berenson, standing out. Pecknold (QPac) and Mel Pearson (Mich Tech) might be darkhorses. Winner is selected by AHCA member coaches, which takes the media out of it (hopefully). I think JMs ability to hold the team together will resonate with the coaching community as many of them have been in similar circumstances at one time or another.

Well, North Dakota's coach is in his first year. Pecknold at QU still hasn't won one, could conceivably see him receiving it this year (que Cornell fans saying every other coach hates his guts). If by some miracle Penn State makes the FF could see that working out too. Like I said, we will have a better idea Thursday/Friday when we find out if he won COY.

Edited: I see what you meant now. I got hung up on your use of 'and' and thought you were suggesting he needed to both make it to the frozen four and win the HE COY. My bad.

tell you what.. if he gets us to the FF or beyond.. he deserves it no matter what you or I say (there i said it).
Heck if he wins us a HE Championship.. (then with hindsight now).. thank god for Bentley and every turn of events that awoke, inspired, motivated this group to get us there!

@GoNUHuskyNation just tweeted they are trying to get more tickets for Friday night for students. Those went very fast. Should be.a fun time Friday evening.

Ruck wasn't the goaltender on the all-rookie team because they decided to go with an extra d-man instead of a goalie. That's a joke. Call it the "6 best freshmen" if you want but don't call it the All-Rookie Team without a goalie.

ya, they've been doing this kind of stuff for a while now. to me, by any measure, Casey Fitzgerald was a lock. has been outstanding from day one.

Clearly this means that the league found a way to decline penalties and NU won't be getting powerplays on Friday. Gotta protect the BC gems! /sarcasm :rolleyes::rolleyes:
