Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

Actually Calhoun was at the game tonight. Said he was taking the grandkids out to watch his favorite two college hockey teams.

Since Calhoun left the Northeastern Huskies for greater riches with the UConn Huskies, I'd love to see him look at the camera a la Matthew McConaughey and say "I was coaching the Huskies long before anybody paid me to coach the Huskies."

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

Roy and Nichols in net for Game 2. Rosenthal out, Lauwers playing, and 7 defensemen.

I paid and it's not working. State school.

..can't imagine with all the major $$$ around their women & men basketball that the stream is down for quality reasons..
gotta be the weather or some technical issue. NU controlling first period thus far.. but (as expected).. it is a lower scoring.. closer game.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

also want to add.. get well soon Dax. That was one heck of a shot block last night!..
Go NU

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

He was in the lineup, but was a late scratch. Schechter is in for him.

gotcha.. glad to hear he is alright, was a great block..
UConn playing very physical today.. hopefully we can get out with the needed pts & also.. injury free.

The game is not available. Equipment problem. Sux.

What a weekend for Reid, ZAR, Torin, and KRoy. Best weekend I've seen for Reid in a long time. Statement weekend, keeps momentum rolling, and shows a display of power and foot-on-the-throat mentality that I haven't seen from this team in a long while. Staying hot at the right time.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

14-2-1 .. or something like that.. in their last as many...

team playing as a team.. all this fan can ask for.. keep it going Huskies!

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

After following along today (thanks UCONN for the broken feed) and watching the bu game against UNH, can we play the 'Pot on Monday?

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

Also, who has a better chance to make the NCAA tournament: hockey or basketball? Gotta be hockey which was unfathomable a couple months ago.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

Re postseason ..
After that tough, tough start.. we not out of the woods yet.. gotta stay positive and take it wknd at a time.. see what happens in couple wks.

Nxt wknd will be interesting.. do we play our guts out & go for the 4 pts.. or do we kind of keep an eye on Monday's gm so as not to be totally gassed.. tough break on the scheduling but i say.. keep the foot on the pedal boys.. play the hockey & have a blast!..

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!

Tied for 5th today. Tough break in PWR, Vermont loses and moves up a spot.

Kevin Roy leaving after this season? What do you guys think his chances of staying are at this point 35/65?
