Re: Northeastern Huskies 2014-15: Release the Hounds!
Yes Diehard Dogs is alive. It will be more active once the team starts winning. Not even the Hoops team, is generating much noise these days despite the fact that they are favored to win the CAA.
Here is a comment I posted about the Hockey team and the near panic on the part of some posters.

I'm not at all sure that "it" is as bad as many have bemoaned. Other than the stinker against UVM, we haven't played badly. Colgate is a good team and Henry Dill stole a gume for UMass the same way that Witt stole some for us last year. If we had UMass' puck luck, we might have won 5-2. We had none at all (no good luck, anyway).
I'd bet serious $ that we will average more than 1 GAG for the rest of the season and that Roy and Szmats will produce >10 pts each. Many teams which are off to hot starts will cool down. Merrimack will not play.800+ hockey. Notre Dame will eventually have to leave South Bend and play teams which are likely to will more tha 10 games this year. In other words, there will be, as there always is, a reversion to the mean. Puck luck tends to even out over a long season.
This weekend, against a possibly overrated (in pre-season polls) QPac team, we will start to get a feel for how mean the mean may be.
