Re: Northeastern Hockey 2013-14 Season

Say what you want, but Madigan and co. are proving at the very least they can recruit very well. Filipe is already 6'1 185 and by all accounts an elite talent. His Dad being an alum certainly helped but we've seen in other instances that that is anything but a guarantee that you will play at the same place. The 2016 class is looking great with Filipe and Jozefek so far.

As for tomorrow, really just hoping we don't come out of the gate slow, last thing we need is to spot Harvard a goal.

It'll be interesting to see where he slots in. Personally, I'd move Snydeman down to the 4th line and put him with ZAR and Szmatula.

Stay out of the box.. we win. Other than that.. it's Harvard's gm. They have a lot of talent & have been playing their best hockey lately.

Re: Northeastern Hockey 2013-14 Season

Hopefully Cody learned how to stay out of the box during his recovery. I've got a bad feeling about tonight. This is Witt's first start on a big stage/in a big arena right? He saw ice time in the HE semi's in '11 against bc, but Rawlings started the game and got yanked. Hopefully he doesn't have any big game jitters/rust, he's going to need to be outstanding tonight.

Re: Northeastern Hockey 2013-14 Season

Witt's least of our concern. He's been the backbone of the club & will do just fine..(my opinion).
He's matured quite a bit from 2011. It's our offense that needs to get over it..

Cody has not been an issue with penalties this year. The majority of his minutes came in early out of conference games. You wanna jump on a guy who takes to many penalties, take a look at the Captain. He actually has DOUBLE the amount of penalties taken then Cody, and three less minutes, which is amazing.

its why i laugh when people say they want to see his as a RW. He would be Adam Reid with 25+ more penalties a year. He is lucky we have no depth on the blue line otherwise I would have benched him for his stupidity like JM did to Cody.

4-0 NU about halfway through the gm..

Barring a massive comeback, I do not see how the Crimson climb out of this. They have good skaters who deserve better.. Donato has been a good Coach, player & alum.. but his time to move on has come.

Refs calling everything tonight.. & then some..
