Cannot guarantee any type of storm a week out. Weather 101. That said if it did happen it couldn't even be called the Beanpot Snowstorm because the Blizzard of 78 already occurred.

Oh there will be a storm in that timeframe not sure whether snow or rain yet.

Glad we took care of business tonight in a convincing fashion. The game was over after the first 10 minutes, sealed when we killed off Manson's major. Harvard just had no fight. And when the did get to the doorstep, Witt stepped up in his usual calm manner and stoned them. Had a couple saves that had my jaw dropping. This kid continues to just be stellar. At what point do people stop saying "he's on a real hot streak" and finally say "He's one of the best in the country"? Cuz he's been playing like it all year.
Hell of a Beanpot debut by our first-timers. Torin, Szmatula, Stevens, Hedges, Benning, everyone getting in on the act. Kevin got his, only one goal in this Beanpot game!! Slacker thought Cody looked really good too for his first game back.
Officiating was atrocious, an embarrassment for Hockey East. This topic I feel comes up every week it seems, in some capacity around the league. The BC/BU game was much better to watch from that standpoint. Shea thinks we pay to see him....Hopefully we have some competent zebras next week.
The stage is set. 2 big points on the line Friday vs UMass, hopefully the boys control their emotions and tackle that game like the are supposed to. Halfway to glory. Go NU

Back up to 8th in the pairwise. Need to handle business vs. UMASS this weekend before any more Beanpot excitement. If we want to hold pace with Lowell, we need this win.

New commit. '95 F Dylan Sikura, out of the OJHL. Same league that gave us Fennell, don't know anything beyond that about it.
According to Mark Divver of The Providence Journal, he decided to commit after watching the game vs Harvard yesterday. PC and UConn were also in the mix, so we had good competition. 15 goals, 39 assists for 54 points this year.

A this point looks like 6 teams fighting for 3 home ice/4 1st round bye spots. Each game is important. The Maine series will be key since each point we get takes one away from them.
And of course the pairwise. We are still in that zone where a couple losses knocks us out. Beat UMass and fill the upper deck Monday night with students. I'll be making the trip up for the long weekend.

.. thought he was headed to Dartmouth. Good for us if he is slated.
Mike Mclauglin came to NU from the same league.. /team (Tigers). Prev notable alums from the team are Steve Downie, Michael Kostka & Dominic Moore.

He was committed to Dartmouth, but obviously decommitted. . I did some digging around and found his Twitter. He has one post thanking Dartmouth for everything they've done, and the very next one is his announcement committing to NU. Looks like a nice pickup, says he's coming for 2014.
