You mean the basketball team that beat yours this year? You mean the basketball team that plays in the same conference as a top 25 team (George Mason)? You mean the basketball team that competes in a conference that will potentially earn 3 bids to the NCAA tournament this year?

Let's not brag about BU basketball until they move from a conference that sends 1 team each year to the slaughter which is always the 15 or 14 seed.

haha those 3 bids don't make a difference if you're not one of the three getting them. it's not like a stellar basketball tradition got NU into the CAA or like that was anything other than a football-motivated move, so pull rank as much as you want, you're not exactly lighting that conference on fire. How much good does being in the Big East do DePaul when they go 1-17?

BU has far more tiger blood than northeastern, its been held on reserve in a freezer at agganis since the baby tiger incident of 2008

If you feel the need to repeat that you spend far more on your program and thus have five titles and consistent NCAA Tournament appearances, then I'd call that insecurity. All that was, was good-natured semi trash talk.

You can't be this stupid.

You realize by calling him stupid you are just increasing your obvious insecurity, because in CT your grade schools had higher tax income and teacher salaries than his in VA. And now at BU your school had a larger endowment than his and if that wasn't the case you would be as dumb as him.

I haven't heard anything but I am sure FL will have something either tomorrow sometime or Thursday early in the day. I would guess HE has to make a ruling by tomorrow on Noonan.

Assuming you have a job, shouldn't you be at work instead? Joking aside, I'm very excited to see what happens this weekend. With Cronin back, I hope that NU regains some discipline and skates 5x5 for most of the game, but after hearing about what happened last weekend, I'll keep my fingers crossed. If Noonan is DQed, is it really that big of a deal for bu? Thoughts?

Well, we're all students, so...

And yes, Noonan would be a big deal. He's been arguably BU's most consistent d-man this season. Even bigger deal if Warsofsky can't go.

it is considering we've been playing a defenseman down for a few weeks now with Warsofsky out, and if Noonan is DQ'd that would force Rosen to return to his defenseman position, which he hasn't played since last year. Noonan's also been easily our steadiest defensemen all season, on a team that has sometimes struggled to play good defense in front of its goaltender

Over on Thursday if the normal fans (who sadly we need more of) show up since BU isn't on break yet... for the one or two games after that, under.

I will pay for your entire weekend's tickets if so much as one speck of trash hits the Agganis ice this weekend. The drunk idiots who show up to Matthews will not be paying $28 a game to be at this series. Just the people who know better.

Agreed... Every school has some UMass in their sections, I had to yell at some BU students who were chanting "***** the Huskies" last weekend. The only curious thing was the TKO chant @ Matthews which seemed to come from the hard core crowd, eek.

It seems that BU's student section(s) have needed extra inspiration to be loud this year, and a loud opposing fan base coming to Agganis (such as NU's) definitely helps out. Would like there to be a good atmosphere for these games.

And yet, we are in no way shape or form rivals. BU doesn't care about NU. Hmmmmm...

Funny the part where he said a RIVAL opposing fan base... oh wait, he didn't, he just said "a loud opposing fan base." Reading is fun! It doesn't even have to be loud, we got really excited last year at a drunk UMass fan wearing a dumb looking hat... It's just nice to feel like you're yelling at something other than a hockey team that couldn't give a rat's *** what you say, or likely hear most of what you yell.

Honestly though, his point is obviously that trophy-less seasons are a rarity for BU and commonplace for NU.
