Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

Re: Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

4on4 for 20 seconds vermeesch called for slash. Looked like NU scored on PP snipe.. beforehand. Play under review. Looked like goal from my behind the net vantagepoint.

Re: Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

Watch those penalties team!..

..much as i hate these weird Wednesday & now Thursday night gms between these two this season.. thank god for the NU fans tonight.. yeah baby! :)

BU will come out with intensity tomorrow.. let's match it with discipline & hustle.
Northeastern completely outplayed BU for most of the first two periods tonight (much like what the Terriers did to us last gm).. but it's a three period gm (just like our last W, last wknd).
Well played Chris Rawlings.. Go NU

This one's got 3 gms written all over it if we do not skate with discipline.

Re: Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

Even with 9 PPs BU can't win. Well done, huskies.

are you implying...

I'm not sure it's them as much as our PP has been ridiculously bad all season long. We're something like >50th in the country I believe. Rawlings looked very sharp, however.

Re: Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

The reffing tonight was hilarious. Glad we won. Stay out of the **** box tomorrow night and we'll have a game once again. Quailer is DIRTY. That is all.

Re: Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

link to internet stream worked well, thank you. can't wait for tomorrow night.

Re: Northeastern at Boston University HEA Quarterfinals

I had the best angle (as did most of us in the NU section). Qualier's 3rd period no goal was absolutely in the net. Many of us saw it go in. Not faulting ref for saying no goal but no review? It's about getting the calls right. Parker has more magic over the refs than I thought.

I was on the opposite side of the arena, so my angle was bad. But, I heard all pipe, and the puck seemed to immediately shoot back out, which is highly unlikely if it went off the interior post. If it hit the outside (red) post and came out, there's a 0% chance it's a goal. But again, my angle was bad. Probably should've at least been reviewed, but did it really matter? The game was long over at that point.

Highlights on HE Online really show how pro-NU the crowd was.

In fairness, there was very little for the BU fans who were there to actually cheer about. It was an utterly atrocious performance from BU.

It was Matthews Arena South tonight. Will probably be worse tomorrow with BU on Spring Break.

First, Agganis is north of Matthews, technically. And I couldn't hear you over the BU band, so not really. There were more Maine fans at Agganis in November. And while more students will be gone, I'd expect a few more of the non-students since it's a non-school/work night. But a performance like that will leave them all silent again.
