Northeastern 2018 Off-season: Dog Day Afternoon

Clarifying NU Husky's clarification, it is indeed the Split-N logo that sadly got lopped off by the Konya guillotine. But Split-N the poster was alive and well the last time I checked and, as stated previously, does not intend to change his screen name to Skinny-N.

Split-N (the poster) humbly cedes the "sharp-witted" mantle to Mr. (Ms?) northeastern. No way I could ever come up with such a pointed but subtle comeback on Mookie. :D Well played.

Thought you were dead?? :p

Wade MacLeod continues his fight against brain cancer, and just went through his 4th surgery in 5 years to combat a tumor that grows back relentlessly. Luckily, the surgery went well. Linking a GoFundMe that was set up to help Wade and his family in this fight. Any contributions help.

Re: Northeastern 2018 Off-season: Dog Day Afternoon

This is beyond heartbreaking, especially considering Wade's youth, his very young family, and the fact that medical issues effectively precluded him from establishing himself at the pro level. So here's a plea to HuskyNation and the rest of the college hockey world to offer more than thoughts and prayers.

if you go by the activity on the gofundme especially today.. that is exactly what's been happening..

Re: Northeastern 2018 Off-season: Dog Day Afternoon

For those who plan to help Wade, please note that your contribution is in Canadian dollars. This is because the GoFundMe page is based in Victoria B.C., where they really like "Loonies". If you contribute $100, your credit card will be charged something approximating $78 US. To give Wade $100 US, you must contribute roughly $135. Wade and his family really need our help. It’s great to see how many of his friends, fans and acquaintances have expressed their caring and concern in an active and tangible manner!

'00 Right handed defenseman Michael Kesselring commits to NU. 6'4 D-man was a sixth round pick (EDM) in this past NHL draft and was committed to MC for this season before they fired Dennehy and he asked out of his NLI a la Gaudreau.

Re: Northeastern 2018 Off-season: Dog Day Afternoon

There were apparently scheduling difficulties finding a Canadian team that wasn't already booked. I don't think anybody was too upset about not having one after some of the events in recent years though, I'm sure if we desperately wanted one we would have found one
