ridiculous how we are playing with the leads tonight.. can't hold score this way ..team..
way too casual in front of your own net.. kudos to Maine for capitalizing.

NU outshot & outworked by the Blackbears tonight.. (especially in the 3rd).. thank god for Ruck.

Lucky to come away with the W. All 3 Maine goals scored on rebounds.. not good.
Hopefully team can come up with a better effort tomorrow night. . & more intensity.

Apart from this wknd.. this a team we may see again.. soon. Very impressed by their work ethic.
No easy gms in HE. Last gm of the season tomorrow night.. bring it NU!

Ruck did not look great tonight. Allowed fat rebounds all over the place. He's solid, but he's not going to steal you a game. Noticed that The Mean Street Posse (S-ZAR-S) line didn't log usual ice time. Gaudette did not look great skating off after his 2nd blocked shot of the game... Still-- a win. #GoNU

Played not to lose in this one. Lucky to get the win. Need a better effort tomorrow.

With the win tonight, it looks very very likely that the first round match-up will be against Maine. I don't like Maine's size....really took it to NU tonight. I'd rather go vs UConn, but whatev. Also, Maine goalie is a local kid.

Unless Merrimack blows their lead, Maine will have the #11 position locked. This is gonna be tough.

OMG, even though they did not play that well tonight and Ruck gave up rebounds to St Botolph, # 19 in the PAIRWISE is amazing given the horrific start. We need to play better tomorrow, however as there are no easy games in HE. I will take it! I am Amazed 14-2-3 since Nov 27th!

What is the tiebreakers on points? If Maine wins tomorrow-- and the loser of UNH/UConn would also have 14. I would like to see ND stay in that #3 slot.

Two snipes for Williams, so +2. But he also got his pocket picked in front of the NU goal for two the other way, so -2. Bottom line: E for the night. Moral of the story: If you're going to be a pro scout, watch the play on both sides of the puck.

Even if Maine wins tomorrow-- they lose tiebreakers via head to head records with UConn and UNH. So, if the score in VT vs UM remains...NU will be locked-in to face Maine. I feel shaky.

NU played a very good game defensively. Maintained their positions well and didn't over commit. Blocked a ton of shots in the 3rd period. Kept Maine on the perimeter passing back and forth and shooting from long range. Maine couldn't get down low or to the net front. Looks like Maine at Mathews Arena again next weekend. Maine may win one game, but I find it unlikely they could win two.

Your once per game NCAA tourney odds update: 71% if they go 6-0 then lose the Hockey East final, 5% overall.

He's a red shirt junior. So he's a senior academically. I guess it means bye bye Roy next year, since I couldn't imagine them doing it if he was going to stay.
