I agree. They played hard all game, Schule in particular looked like he was trying to make sure he wasn't a healthy scratch again and Pond played his game. The goal on friday was just the kind of gritty play this team needs, and I thought it spoke volumes that Madigan kept rolling them out there, which he rarely does with his fourth line. They certainly earned their ice time.

As a quick update from yesterday, our odds of making the NCAA tourney IF we go 7-0 then lose the HEA championship game have improved from 49% to 58% and our likelihood of making the tourney in general has improved from 3% to 4%.

Hey guys-- just got home from a long day on the nuclear reactor at NU. Heard UML had one, so we had to build a better one today. Now, our engineering is ranked 5th in the world. One spot ahead of Georgia Tech. Great job by me.

I have been looking at the record books,if we win both games v ME this weekend, we would go 15 2 3 since Dec 3 the best record over 20 game period in school history! I am happy with that..just saying!

The goal was disallowed because of a penalty correct(!) ? So a penalty was called on your player and its the referees fault.



So he committed slashing? YOU JUST ADMITTED YOUR PLAYER COMMITTED A PENALTY ON A PLAY WHERE HE SCORED. I guess the referee missed that one.

IIRC, back in the '90's, perhaps even the early 2000's, the NCAA selection process was based on the last 16 games of the season. The first half of the season wasn't even factored in. NU would be sitting pretty right now.

This is actually true. Last 16 games was a criteria back in the day. However, I am pretty sure it is not correct to state the first half of the season wasn't factored in.
