Northeast Regional: Boston University, Yale, UMD, Minnesota

As a local I have always 100% street parked for the VWA. Least expensive, most rapid egress. Make sure to feed the meter or kiosk appropriately or you WILL be ticketed. I was in the VWA area today, parking is 10 hour maximum, but beware some spaces on Elm Street may be significantly less than that.
That link I posted had a map of the ten hour street parking near the arena, 75 cents an hour.

Tut, tut, tut and a shameless plug for my fave: Consuelo's Taqueria 36 Amherst St. Just off Elm. Order at the counter, they bring to the table. Beer, sangria, probably wine. I guarantee you will hear more Spanish spoken here than Margarita's which is a fine establishment, owned by a UNH grad.

That must explain why UNH uses Marg's as a "pre game" hangout when in town...

Yale is a good team, but they'll be way in over their heads against BU I think. If it comes down to goaltending, though, I'd take Yale.
Several things about Yale: 1) Their compete level is consistently high, 2) Keith Allain is an excellent tournament coach who puts together great game plans and gets his teams ready to play against teams that are, on paper, far superior, 3) The moment won't be too big for them as the core of this team were key contributors on the NCAA Championship team, 4) As in 2013, they are playing with house money, as everyone expects BU to win, and 5) Alex Lyon is a great goaltender who can steal a game.

Need the green arrow. Hello to BU and Yale fans that I have basically never interacted with.

On Thursday morning didn't Yal6 have a 3% of making the tournament? Everything worked in their favor for sure.

Re: Northeast Regional: Boston University, Yale, UMD, Minnesota

This Lake Avenue Lot that appears to be close to VWA, any idea (Darius??) if that would be filled with work commuters during the day? $6 parking for the entire day in a garage sounds perfect.
The lot on Lake is right across the street and $6.00 is a deal. I don't know, but suspect it may be full during the day. Definitely check it out before street parking which should cost $6.75. I prefer street parking so I am positioned for quick access to the city streets route home sans traffic. I have very limited patience. :)

There is a 4 - 5 story garage more or less diagonally across from the VWA. Not sure of the cost, but not a bad option, unless you share my egress impatience.

Re: Northeast Regional: Boston University, Yale, UMD, Minnesota

My biggest thing on VWA parking is that the $20 lots with flag wavers directing you in are a needless rip off if you don't mind walking a block or 3.

I couldn't have done much better than the $70 all-session pass I got from LivingSocial right?

Obviously scalpers on game day might be going for less.

Screw them if they are even there. Find regular fans looking to unload extras. Typically the venue prefers transactions a bit away from the entry doors.

What's the injury situation with the Duluth team?

Everyone is back who has been hurt in the previous weeks. That means Alex Iafallo and Nick McCormack will be back. Getting Iafallo back is huge as he is probably our best forward and offensive threat. Our record has been lackluster without him in the last month.
