North Dakota @ UMD - Friday (2/10/2012)

Re: North Dakota @ UMD - Friday (2/10/2012)

Perhaps but that doesn't mean they are losing control. I don't think there has been anything thats happened thats been terrible or cheap that will escalate to anything.

To me, the physical play escalated towards the end of the 1st. For the most part, it was legit, but there was some stuff that could have (arguably should have) been called.

Ha. If you are listening to Ciskie, you'd think the officials lose control of every game in the first five minutes.

Ciskie said Brown getting taken out at center ice, the contact to the head by UND, and the UMD retaliation should have been called. It shouldn't take JConn getting tackled before the whistle is regurgitated and used. He also said the rough call on UMD was B.S. and that it should have been a CFB.

again, that doesn't mean losing control. Every game has things that don't get called both ways. Game isn't out of hand by either side.

So not calling obvious penalties, ones that have been a point of emphasis all season, is an example of an officiating crew who is in control? Not trying to argue. The point I'm getting to is the officials in this league have a history of letting stuff go. So much so that guys start jumping guys in handshake lines because the officials refuse to exert some control over the game.

I really wish I paid for CBS Sports Network so I could watch this one. The BC/Vermont game is just awful.

So...since CC and UND are tied in the pairwise, I suppose I need to cheer for UMD, right? Especially since we still get our crack at Duluth last series of the season. Don't want them losing games before then!

Net is off per the radio feed - no call.

Whistle blows - no reason given. The radio feed proposes that it was man in the crease on UND, but the faceoff was in UMD's end.

That was a weird sequence...net goes off its moorings, and the ref lets play continue, and then play is eventually stopped about 20 seconds later...not sure why.
