North Dakota @ UMD - Friday (2/10/2012)

Re: North Dakota @ UMD - Friday (2/10/2012)

Last year at the Frozen Four I was blown away by how good Brown was...best player on the ice the whole weekend. I'm glad that he returned for his sophomore season...hopefully he plays a year or two more of college hockey, but someday he'll be playing in the NHL.

There is a fair number that think he's gone the minute the season is over. I'd love to see him in a UMD uniform the next two years, but if an NHL club comes with a contract, I wouldn't fault him for leaving.

He has the skill set to play in the NHL, and I wouldn't be surprised if he left, but I can't say that I have ever seen a kid who hurt his pro prospects by playing an extra year of college hockey.

Powerplay ends, and we're back at full strength...and Reiter makes an acrobatic save falling back...then Dell makes a solid save on Duluth rush...

Re: North Dakota @ UMD - Friday (2/10/2012)

This game is getting extremely physical...and Lamoureux takes down Connolly...Duluth will have a powerplay at the end of the period.

I wouldn't say that in watching it.

So your guy cross checking our guy in the head and our guy retaliating without either being called is an example of an officiating crew who has the game under control?

Yeah, there have been a lot of close calls that they have swallowed their whistles on.

1:33 left in the 1st

Perhaps but that doesn't mean they are losing control. I don't think there has been anything thats happened thats been terrible or cheap that will escalate to anything.

And that's the end of the 1st

1-0 North Dakota

Duluth will have 27 seconds of powerplay time going into the second.
