Just saw the video. The UND goalies weren't great, but holy chit, their D is like swiss cheese. Every Bear on the ice looked like Nate Gerbe... skating circles around 'em. :D

If UND wins tonight, and their D is anything like last night, it'll be a 10-9 game. ;)

We won't win if our D plays like that again, it's really as simple as that.

Are there any Maine fans for whom the Sioux aren't a second-favorite? They won a lot of fans in Orono with their gesture in 2000 and the tribute to Walsh in 2001. I don't think Maine could've asked for a classier opponent those nights.

He was back on the ice playing with around 4 - 5 minutes left in the 3rd period.

They're less of a favorite after last night. I'd say other than the Sioux.....maybe Denver and CC, Michigan State, St. Lawrence and Vermont out of HE if I had to choose one.

I appreciated a chance to see that video. I hope there are more posts of video highlights. I saw Maine forwards crashing the net and the UND defense staying with them to open up the crease area. The UND forwards collapsed on the net also, leaving Maine wings and trailers wide open. My two cents.

Yep, one poor game = overrated. Because if you are #2 that means you can't ever lose any games, right? I mean, by that logic we shouldn't even have rankings, or a season. Let's just put #1 vs #2 for all the marbles next weekend and call the season over, sound good? It just astonishes me how a #2 ranked team could ever lose. I expected them to go like 30-0 this year.

I have lived in Grand Forks for the last 10 years. I was born and Raised in Maine. I would definalty say I want UND to win every game they play except when they play Maine or if them winning hurts Maines chances at a NCAA bid

I agree...the Sioux are by far my second favorite college hockey team. Didn't they auction off those Walsh Jerseys after the game. Definitely should have gotten one. Might need one of their away jerseys before the logo goes extinct. However for tonight...Go Maine!!
