NoDak @ Maine Oct 22 / 23

Re: NoDak @ Maine Oct 22 / 23

Get real, KIA. If you want to win games you identify the strengths and weaknesses of your team and act/coach accordingly. You would be amazed at how many hockey coaches and general managers disagree with your contempt for +/- analysis, or how few rely upon the "Blame the officials" strategy.

Both the UMaine website and the Hockey East website have the +/- stats you need, if you want them for each game.

Sioux Sweep. Alfond is renamed MMFF Arena II

Is there anything else you want to tell us about what you don't know about ncaa hockey?
Sue played well Saturday night, but she's still a muffin.

Sorry Dirty, just noticed. Clearly this is intended for the brain trust previously known as acs64, cause he's Aces!!

No one really. Nyquist is the entire show and he's been skiddish at best. You know, trying to live up to the reputation they put on his shoulders. Defense is porous, goalies are all still in their diapers, forwards are undrafted and the coach cant coach. But one thing else for sure, the refs will call everything, so be prepared to be on the PK for long stretches at a time, especially if those Fighting Sue get nasty. :)

You're really too dumb to speak. Try listening. Despite hamstringing ourselves the first half of last season, when playoffs came around there was only one team that gave the eventual ncaa champions a run. At all. Had Maine won that game, there is no reasonable counter argument to them running up points against anyone BC also handled.
ND #2? Not on the ice. Only 4 games in, and it's reality for Sue.

I'll go easy on you since these are yer first two posts on this board.

acs has been known to indulge in the occasional bout of sarcasm and sandbagging. I think you just might have popped in at one of those moments.

Always best to lurk for a while before clicking that [reply] button. Someone else might have given you a little bit harder time about it. You idiot. :D

Kidding! stick around a while.

Exciting games to watch live.

Genoway and Frattin are great players, although, at times it appeared as though Genoway was trying to shoulder too much of the burden. Had his pocket picked, overhandled the puck, and caused offsides at least twice that I recall. Nyquist did the same thing a few times (and has before).

Also, due to my vantage point, I could see a lot of the players faces and for some reason, Kristo stands out as having this whiney, almost crying look on his face skating back to the bench multiple times this weekend. Perhaps just his way of showing frustration.

Loved seeing Abbott Pick Genoways pocket, and send a beauty pass to Tanner for a goal!

Nothing beats a skill player cashing in on a pure hustle play. Agreed.

On that note...I know he's not going to rake in tons...but Mangene is due for a lamplighter.

He's a role player and he's great at his role. He's a momentum changer, who does more little things to help this team than can be credited right here. He was robbed point blank a few times so far.

You can play him with scorers on the 3rd line because he's going to use his speed and forechecking skills to create chances, or you can play him on the 4th line to disrupt passes, deliver energy, and play possesion.

Huge fan.
