Nice win for Maine against a UND team that didn't show up.
How they react tomorrow night will show a lot about what this team is capable of.

I'm really hoping that the ECAC writer leaves UND off his ranking list completely. It will make him feel all fuzzy inside and he needs that in his life. :D

Since when was making a hit illegal in hockey? Officiating was a one-sided affair for most of the game until they started pitying UND. The funny thing is, Maine didn't need any officiating help for the clinic they put on the Sioux.

If you notice, I clearly state that Maine didn't need any assistance in the clinic that Maine put on. Unless your talking to someone else but that was a poor officiating performance. Go ahead and call it 'blaming' if you want. Maine still would've throttled us either way.

Wow... the Black Bears dished out a serious beating.
I thought the Bears would take at least one, but never imagined 7 goals.
Frickin' impressive. Go for the sweep.

BTW... wasn't there some be-a-ching going on about some line changes? How'd that work out? ;)

Well the first period was probably the best period, i've seen Maine play in several years, pressed for the early goal, pushed the action took shots on net and had a guy in front of the net vs 3 behind the net. The only hiccup was the point turnover by Oneill for the shortie. Rodwell smoked Sirman on that play. You know tomorrow UND will come out like a house on fire and try to make up for tonights flop. Maine better be ready and try to get an early goal. Hopefullly they don't read the BDN and watch all the tv highlights tonight. They need to carry the play and shoot on net.
Flynns second goal was a pure snipe shot. Wish Anthoine would of scored he played a good game. Well see if timmay gets them prepared and focused to play two good games in a row.

I don't know what game you watched but UND had their elbows up all night. I realize WCHA plays a little different game but they were hacking it up all game long. Lots of stuff didn't get called including a real nice slash by Dell on Abbott. Seeing a goalie hack it up isn't something you see every day. I suspect UND will bring their A game tomorrow, hopefully Maine will too.

5hole, hope all is well. You been up north to see shirley and ladies lately? You know me, I am not a fan of timmay. I haunted by 3 coaches for teams I cheer for Les Miles at LSU(completely clueless, wins inspite of himself and Wade Phillips, god he sucks, I am not looking forward to going to the Game Monday night it could get real ugly!!). Your BC boys are looking good as usual.

I think a lot of stuff on both ends didn't get called. It's not surprising that opposing fans think that their team got the worst of the calls. ;)
The refs chose to call UND more in the beginning and more on Maine in the end. A big difference was that Maine took advantage of their PP chances.

That, and they just thoroughly outplayed the Sioux/Hacks as well. :)

Tim really deserves a little credit. He made line changes that may have given them a spark. However, this Maine team was on a mission tonight.

I like it when fans like Brian give credit where credit is due. He tells it how it is, plain and simple. Best Sioux fan out there.

I was surprised to see this score. I would expect a great battle tomorrow. Good luck to your teams.

Was great to see Maine hand out a shelling, after all the critisism thats been handed out. Maine were a much faster team tn, they took advantage of pp, and the goalie played great.
