No, somewhere buried in the three pages is my cry for orange frosted cupcakes, too. Little Debbie... help me.

Re: No more Twinkies????

Don't worry about the people losing their jobs. The Hostess execs all saw this coming and were able to give themselves considerably higher salaries as a golden parachute. Thankfully, no one that mattered is too adversely affected by this.

Hmmm, that sounds like a bait to turn this into a political discussion. To be fair, let's mention the two bankrupcies since 2004 and the equity that "vulture"private capitalists put into the company in hopes it would turn around. The union (with their refusal to negotiate any more concessions) had as much a hand in the demise of the company as the greedy execs.

Re: No more Twinkies????

CNBC says Hostess and the Bakers' Union have agreed to mediation, preventing a shutdown. At long last, our long national nightmare is over.

Re: No more Twinkies????

Hostess' bankruptcy plans include selling off assets, including operations. Someone will continue to make Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Ho Hos, Cupcakes, and the rest, it merely won't be Hostess any more.

I hear that Don Fehr and Gary Bettman will be leading the negotiations....
