NMU Wildcats 2015-2016 Season Thread

Re: NMU Wildcats 2015-2016 Season Thread

5.3 seconds.

Goddammit.

I really hope a Wildcat fan won the 50/50 both nights, just to make the trip worthwhile for the 'Cats.

Had seats right in front of Dave (BTW, he's a good play-by-play man, and I enjoyed hearing him in my ear all night). After the goal he was just staring at the net with a "Seriously...*** just happened?" look on his face for a good 5-6 seconds. Felt bad for him and toned down my yelling out of respect.

We sucked out on the river, that's for sure. But we'll take it.

Always fun to visit the Madhouse on Mercer. BG is one of the trips I always look forward to. You caught my look of utter disbelief. NMU lost. But it was a helluva game nonetheless. The 3rd period & OT were some of the most exciting hockey I've seen all season. See you next year!

I am in town Mr Morris and NMU Fan it was a slashing call.

I will be at the NMU mixer before the tomorrow's game.

Somebody want to give insight on the last minute or so? Penalty shot? Checking from behind?

I admit that I didn't see the check at the end, but it was way loud, and Poulsen's small, so he had to have really laid into him.

Shine was great at providing pressure to the Chargers' back line, and he got the goals as a result.

Shine was in on a shorthanded breakaway, and the Huntsville player slashed him from behind. Automatic penalty shot.

See you guys in about 2 1/2 weeks. How are you guys playing this year?

If it's training regimen, does that explain the concussions? Or ankles? Or shoulders?

Concussions no. ankles, shoulders and knees. maybe. could just be coincidence, but worth taking a closer look IMO.

That's easy to say, but when you consider that the knee injuries are all different and happened in different ways, there is no one size fits all method to fix the problem. Each injury is unique.

If you had told me that this team would be .500 at the break with a freshman netminder, questionable offense, and a smattering of injuries, I'd have laughed. Sure a few more wins would be nice, but I would much rather have the ties over losses. This team is developing well. It was great to watch them play last Saturday night; and to see them rebound from the late tying goal by pressuring so well in OT to force the winning goal was fantastic. There on the cusp of breaking out and going on a tear.

I'd still like to see some more shots, as Robbie Payne's second goal was one of those "throw it on net, see what happens" goals.

And what is it with Finnish goaltenders, coming out of nowhere and playing so well, right NMUFan? ;)

Per the WCHA weekly press release: for league contests the home team will wear their dark colored jersey. Those "road" green jerseys are going to look great at home. :)

What a cursed building JLA is for the 'Cats when they face Michigan. Beatable Michigan teams suddenly become all-star teams against the 'Cats.

Fourth GLI loss to Michigan. O-for-2 against Michigan in CCHA Championship matchups. 1-6-0 overall against Michigan in that building. Ugh.
