NMU Offseason 2010

Re: NMU Offseason 2010

Nothing much to update at this point. They get two days of official practice then play Ni****ing Sunday.

Would you happen to know if and when they practice Saturday? I'd like to drop in and take a look.

Re: NMU Offseason 2010

Part of the advantage of living in BFE Alaska and being 4 hours behind the East coast means you find these lil gems while the rest of you are either drunk or sleeping. Bringing this over from the alumni thread. Looks like Gussy is doing well enough for ESPN to find him worthy enough to post pictures of him online.
Pictures # 5 *edit*10, 29, & 32 *edit* :D

Re: NMU Offseason 2010

You are correct, we're playing Tech and their goalie that gave up 3 goals against Ni****ing, and could only manage to score 5.

Yeah, after NMU hung 11 on Ryerson last season, you put a total arsewhooping on us in the season opener.

Didn't you?

Whoops... :D

All blatant overconfidence aside, with the game in Marquette, I do expect Northern to win.

Cats

Cats

11-0 beat down on Nippis sing.

Two goals inside of the first 1:15.

Goal scorers were

Re: Avalanche Cut down to 24,

Olver still on the team!!!

...please tell me you're talking about the Avs.

I'm not going to get too over excited about the large margin of victory today. Was it great? Yes. However, you have to take in to consideration the fact that Ni****ing was tired and beat to hell. That, and FTB&G said, we did hang double digits on Ryerson last year, only to turn around and lose to Tech the following Friday. I saw enough at the Tech/Nipissing game to be more than a little nervous for this Friday. As I said to a friend today: if we can play a solid 60 minutes of hockey, NMU will be fine, but we cannot and should not overlook Tech, or think we have the game in the bag based on the results of the exhibition games.

Denver Post article on Olver

Denver Post article on Olver

http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_16243596?source=rss

Olver, a native of Burnaby, British Columbia, had three assists in five games for Colorado and is expected to fill a fourth-line role as an energy player.

"I liked the way he engaged in the games. To me, he was very noticeable," Avs coach Joe Sacco said of Olver. "I thought he played with an edge, for a small guy, and disrupted the opposition."

Ya think???

Great for Mark, his family, and the program!!

Go Cat's Go!

I'm pretty sure Diva was being sarcastic with me htere Davy. She should be taking plenty of grief this week anyways from her sister. ;)

Mmmm. Subject: Avalanche cut to 24

Body: Olver still with the team!!!

I am sorry, what part of that was confusing?

Well, now that you say that he's with the Avs, it makes it less confusing. The way you said it earlier, made it sound like he was still with NMU.

Re: NMU Offseason 2010

Speaking for myself, I never even notice the subject lines, because 95% of the time they're just a repeat of the thread title. Just sayin'.

Ok, my bad and my apologies. hehe. Never thought for a nano second that someone even mildly aware of Wildcat hockey would think that Mark Olver would suit up for the Wildcat's again. Would sure be fun though to see number 21 lace them up again.
