NMU 2009-2010 Season

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Wow, that first loss is really bugging me now. We could very easily be 3-0. This may be a very special season for our football team if this keeps up. Grand Valley doesn't look to be as dominant as in the past. NMU has the top offense and top defense in the Gliac going into the 4th game.

That one bugs me too Billy. GVSU doesn't play Northwood this year, so the more loses the Wood has, the better for GV's SOS.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Update on our Alums in the NHL training camps.

Dusty Collins got cut by Vancouver in their first round a week ago and is in Manitoba camp.

Nathan Oystrick is still in ATL camp with one more round of cuts due by Wednesday. It's a fight for the final three D-spots (5/6+extra), and there are four players fighting for it.

Mike Santorelli is projected to be a second line left winger feeding Legwand and Erat (or have them feed him the puck). :D

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Tickets ordered, hotel reservations made, Marquette here we come (BSU series in four weeks)!

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

so apparently we have a football team...at least temporarily :O
Don't believe everything that Billy Blank says about that just yet. ;)

But, with that said NMU does stand a good shot at being .500 or better this year. Regardless, really wish you guys had beaten Northwood.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

I hear we have a game in 6 days.

It feels so good to look forward to a hockey game over the weekend. Its been a long summer!

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Still no word on the play-by-play guy? They didn't say anything on tonight's Wildcat sports roundup on 100.3.

Congrats to them even though it's only the preseason poll.

Of course, just what they and the rest of the team needs: more pressure on them.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Im not certain, but Oystrick may have to clear waivers to be sent down to Chicago.

Yeah I think that is true for Oystrick. I would assume that will happen. Doubt anyone will pick him up.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Hrm... It might be worth going to Friday's home opener if he is indeed assigned to the Wolves...
