Re: Nice Plant #7: Get me off of this planet

Arson? Looting? Shooting at police helicopters? Threats of more? Any "black leaders" planning to unequivocally denounce this behavior? The Revs?

If you ask the "Reverend" Sharpton, you're likely to hear that there were white agitators wearing black face in the crowd in order to cause the police to react with murderous intent and force.

It's always enlightening to get the perspective of people who know so much about the black experience in America.

You're right, white people aren't allowed to talk about these things.

Your have great insight into their situation, do you?

I'm not making any comment as to what their lives are like, I'm only commenting on the "Reverend" Sharpton's antics and race baiting history.

Nope. And you don't see me commenting on the situation, do you?

I just think it is fascinating to hear from people who have so much in common on a personal and demographic level with the people they are discussing.

So you never comment on Republicans, right?

But you've got the time to criticize those who are commenting on the situation, don't you? Typical. Like the punk says in West Side Story, "I'm depraved on account of I'm deprived." Whitey's got no business suggesting black folks obey the law. Right? As Virgil Tibbs says In the Heat of the Night: "Whitey ain't allowed."

Moral of all these stories?

STOP ****ING FIGHTING THE POLICE AND YOU WON'T GET KILLED IN THE FRACAS

I just don't get the sympathy for these idiots.

It will be interesting to hear if there's more eyewitness testimony than just the one kid walking with him. I think this is another situation where until more information comes out it's a bit early to argue either way. And I lean toward the officer pulling his gun only because he felt he had to.

I have no idea how this one will play itself out. Nobody wants police shooting civilians for no reason. And if that's what happened here, I want that cop under the prison. I can tell you from first hand experience in similar events, people will approach the media with claims "that boy wasn't doin' nuthin'" or "that cop just shot him down for no reason." But when it comes time to tell their stories to the police or testify under oath to grand juries or civilian review boards, those folks are generally unavailable. How, then, are we to get at the truth? We don't want cops to get away with murder. Neither, presumably, do we want cops victimized by a system afraid to stand up to howling mobs.
