Re: Nice Plant #7: Get me off of this planet

Early on in Anatomy of A Murder Arthur O'Connell gives Jimmy Stewart the basic facts:

"The lieutenant goes to Quill's place and plugs Mr. Quill about five times, which causes Mr. Quill to promptly die of lead poisoning."

I also recall an episode of Hill Street Blues where detective Norman Bunz (Dennis Franz before he became Andy Sipowitz) empties his pistol into a perp. Another detective observes that the man is dead. To which Bunz replied: "I knew something was wrong with him"

There was also this story from a while back, telling folks to choose silver over lead. A truly touching story

Chips Ahoys are not that great of a cookie. too hard and stale most of the time. Now if was some fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies.... Yeah, I could see myself being upset about somebody eating them.
I really don't think this has anything to do with the quality of the cookies she ate, dude. If that's what you're taking from the article... wow.

That's what makes it so baffling. Store bought, lowest common denominator cookies...

I mean, they're barely a step up from generic.

Exactly. Crazy to think people are hung up on the brand.

The real question should be: why did both of them want chocolate chip cookies for breakfast? That's not part of a balanced diet.

Tell that to the General Mills, makers of Cookie Crisp.

My parents refused to buy it for me when I was younger. One day I saw it on sale and decided to buy it and try it for the first time. Honestly the worst cereal I've ever eaten. Had one bowl and threw the rest of it away.
