Re: Nice Plant #7: Get me off of this planet

hmm....I notice that more and more black people are now starting to emphasize that Obama is a mixed-race president......soon enough we'll be hearing that all of his failures will be attributable to his crazy white grandmother!

Is this a serious post?

Is it possible that a young couple conspired to bake their baby? If the reports are true, what are the odds that both mommy and daddy looked up baked babies on the internet, shortly before their baby was baked?

This isn't anything new. In Auburn, back in the 80's, a mother and father cooked their daughter in the oven because "God told them she was Satan." Of course back then we didn't have the Internet to blame it on. Probably blamed it on rock music.

Who said anything about "blaming the internet?" And the similarities between that case from lovely Auburn and the one in question begin and end with the baby dying as the result of extreme heat. Otherwise, there are no similarities at all. Weak.

I guess this

was just idle chit chat.

The observation would be the same if mother and father had separately gone to their local library to study the "baked baby" phenomenon shortly before it happened to their child. And it would no more involve "blaming libraries" than "blaming the internet." The blame, if there is any, rests entirely with parents who may have researched murdering their infant for the insurance money. Once in a while you should really stop trolling and try to participate in a discussion like an adult.

Well, you couldn't really prove they went to the library to look that stuff up, unless they actually checked out books on that. With the internet, you can prove their search history. That being said, I'm NOT blaming the internet, but it sure made it a whole lot easier to find that information.

Anybody dumb enough to not know that leaving an infant in a car will kill it is not playing with a full deck to begin with.

True. I think in this case, they knew it would kill, but wanted to know how long it would take (so they could be doing other things for long enough, during that time).

Except if they do it deliberately. Then we're talking about a horse of a different color.

Plus they may have been researching the circumstances of other cases, trying to find the one that would leave them with the least culpability and the fewest questions.

Re: Nice Plant #7: Get me off of this planet

The amount of time we're spending analyzing parents baking their children is quite disturbing.

Re: Nice Plant #7: Get me off of this planet

Yeah, im going to call bullshiat on that.

What, you asked all the black people you know, and neither one had heard of it?

well...

I use to consider biracial people black but they aren't black they are mixed race, mulatto or biracial... whatever you want to call them.
Mulatto, mixed race, biracial people are not the same as black people with two black parents and president Barack Obama is not as black as me, nor is he our first black president

or...

“First thing that always pops into my head regarding our president is that all of the people who are setting up this barrier for him … they just conveniently forget that Barack had a mama, and she was white — very white American, Kansas, middle of America. There was no argument about who he is or what he is. America’s first black president hasn’t arisen yet. He’s not America’s first black president — he’s America’s first mixed-race president.”

There was also a comedian, I can't recall his name, who had a routine on the subject, on how there was all this great hope in the black community, and yet how blacks have suffered more under this administration than any other ethnic group, and how (this is a comedian's routine) Obama was planted by white people to do their dirty work in a way that blacks couldn't object to.

So yeah, you stay safely insulated behind your walls of prejudice and feel nobler than the rest of us.

'Fish, unofan,

I think both of you need some serious study time on subject. Please complete both portions of Dr. Chappell's course. Thank you.

Part 1
Part 2

Project much?

And you've already backtracked from "more and more" to "some." Gee, color me shocked.

Some people think you can dangle an elephant off a cliff with its tail tied around a daisy.

Re: Nice Plant #7: Get me off of this planet

The soft bigotry of low expectations is such an apt phrase. You really think you are helping someone by constantly telling them they cannot make it on their own without special help? help that is so special that it has become a permanent institution?
