That reminds me. My wife had a manual transmission in her Cobalt years ago. Had issues with the service manager during one trip (he argued that work needing to be done was because of her driving, not faulty parts). She humbled him when it turned out that the work WAS warranty work indeed AND the service manager had to admit in front of the whole dealership that "I need to have someone go bring your car up for you because *mumbling* I can't drive your car."
The latest automotive theft deterrent system?
A manual transmission.
