So Bluetooth causes cancer now, does it? Amazing how this news comes out with the Apple release auto-mating earphones when Bluetooth headsets have existed for years now.

I think the issue with these is signal goes to right ear piece and then to left ear piece from right piece not to both from iPhone. So signal goes thru head. Maybe it does anyway????

Maybe the article was written by someone pi ssed it doesn't have regular wired headphones

The radiation is already going through our heads. It's there, someone's just freaking out because they're scared and/or want to just get some extra page clicks.

Is there a medical consensus that this is harmless / harmful? What are the factors that make certain types of radiation harmful? I realize this may be a stupid question, but are devices rated for the harmfulness of their radiation?

My I'm sure completely misinformed layman's understanding of the harm of radiation is that being bombarded by particles damages tissue either by direct collisions causing atoms to ionize, or by introducing energy and raising the temperature and hence the particular pressure in a given cubic area. Harmfulness would then seem to be a function of the duration and intensity of the radiation, and/or maybe the mass of the particles in the bombardment and hence their momentum. I think of radiation as pouring streams of vehicles onto an already busy highway, where all vehicles must always maintain the same speed.

Re: Nice Planet XII: It's Cruel to be Kind!

Flag's community just wants to him to buy more "nascent iodine", in the same way that Apple wants stupid Macholes to pay $150 for a redundant, proprietary accessory. ;)

I won't pretend to know the details, but I do have trust that over the past 20 years, while Bluetooth has been commonly used in Europe, their various governments would have studied and released cautions against use rather than encouraging it by use of payment systems to which we've only been introduced these past two or three years. The signals have been in our pockets, in our bags, or on our desks during the day, and on our nightstands next to our heads while we've slept. We would have heard warnings from credible sources by now.

Going directly through the brain is the exact point that was being made. I understand how omni-directional antennas will result in this happening anyway, and it certainly is a cause for concern, especially with those who are sensitive to UHF signals, and who will have the strongest point of the signal being transmitted directly next to the ear. Not to mention any heat that comes off.

If oil becomes irrelevant, we will likely have found an abundant energy source. Enough energy to desalinate water effectively.

I'd like to believe that but I don't. Maybe oil won't become irrelevant and will still move to fighting over water. That may be the more likely scenario now that you made me think about it.

Still waiting for Scooby to comment on Anthony Weiner's latest escapade with a 15 YEAR OLD GIRL. I thought Mr. Doo was the self-proclaimed equal opportunity pointer-outer of deviant behavior by disgraced public figures, but alas, Mr. Weiner's political ideals lean a certain direction, so...radio silence.

Fire up the excuse train, SD.

Re: Nice Planet XII: It's Cruel to be Kind!

lolwut?

Butthurt aside, I thought he already did. In fact, I thought he made a comment about how ****ty of a situation it must be for his wife.

Re: Nice Planet XII: It's Cruel to be Kind!

Well, if you say he did...

Are you sure it was this latest incident though? Or was it the first time he did this? Or the second? Or the third?

You may want to look up proper usage of the term, butthurt, though. Just a suggestion.

"Butthurt" is in the dictionary?

Re: Nice Planet XII: It's Cruel to be Kind!

Butthurt (adj.): The state of being hurt. In the butt. Typically over an extremely petty subject. See the following example:

No worries. This handy video shows you how to add a jack to your new iPhone 7 so you can use wired earphones and escape the Bluetooth brain cancer.

The author of this post only recommends the video, nothing more. Your decision to modify your phone is your decision and yours alone.

Already commented on him months ago. Once a scumbag, always a scumbag. Besides, he's irrelevant. Has been ever since the first time. His wife deserves a medal for putting up with him.
