I try to avoid being a grammar Nazi, but that is one painful sentence to try to read.
I better go eat a grammar cracker.
I was homeschooled in 7th grade with Christian curriculum. Part of my World History book detailed Islam, including the pillars and statement of faith.I love that the forum was held in a church and attendees were all but physically intimidated into agreeing with the echo chamber's opinion.
Woman loses her leg, suing everyone involved with a possibly faulty guard rail. She was working 3 jobs, had finals coming up, computer problems...
Oh, and she had a few drinks, too. No big deal.

She paid to repair the guardrail, pleaded guilty to careless driving. She is taking responsibility for the accident. The fact that the guardrail was improperly installed and resulted in much worse injuries (and could severely injure or kill other drivers) is a separate issue.
I first saw the story on the TV news, then looked up the article. They quite literally brushed aside the "and she had a few drinks" info. That really bothered me. Honey, maybe if you hadn't been tipping back Cosmos and vodka martinis or whatever, you wouldn't be a gimp. Is the guardrail faulty? Possibly. If you were sober, would you have run into it? Probably not. Just saying....
How many is "a few"? Sounds like the jury will never know, but apparently it wasn't enough for DUI, so...
