Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

Searched her in front of her class? Even the TSA will usually take you some where private...

"Usually?" It must be gratifying for the TSA nabobs that they are now the national standard for bureaucratic inefficiency, inflexibility and rampant "Barney Fifism."

Isn't it time we realize that the world cannot be perfected with more rules, regulations, laws and ordinances? It's like the ridiculous notion of not keeping score in age group soccer. It's not like the kids don't know they're getting shelled. The first clue might be the goalie, who's showing signs of PTSD.

Sadly, I'm not sure society is capable of that anymore.

"Knowing what's good for you" is a growth industry. There's evidently an unending supply of people who "know what's good for us" and have consequently discarded "convincing" as a strategy and replaced it with "coercing." Sadly, there are way too many public officials willing to do along, because they, too, "know what's good for us."

Eventually all this zero tolerance malarkey is going to backfire horribly.

They're going to pop some high speed honors kid for a plastic butter knife or a bottle of Tylenol, he's going to miss out on college as a result, then he's going to figure his future was stolen from him and become the next contestant.

Who will they blame then?

Pio, I can't believe you would impune Barn like that. Next you will start on Andy.

Dash. Underscore. Dash.

The fascists have gone WAY too far. You mean to tell me a gynecologist's diagnosis of a missed period isn't good enough?!

I would really like to see a moratorium on dredging up the most out there positions by the least important "officials" for us to ponder, period. She's a state rep. in New Mexico for Ch*st's sake, who gives a rat's a*s what she thinks about anything? Just like the idiot state rep in Iowa a few days ago, musing about repealing the 2nd Amendment. I DON'T CARE WHAT THESE PIPQUEAKS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ANYTHING, EVER.

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

I lost my head. We have to "nip it in the bud," don't we?

You got it. So long as Otis continues to enjoy a free room every night, courtesy of government largesse and the citizens of Phoenixberry.

Re: Nice Planet, Part 2: A-holes on parade

Remember the flap a few years ago when a guy in the DC administration used the word "niggardly?" Stupid people, arguing from ignorance, said: "well it sounds racist."
I like to use the word "niggardly" as a pass/fail test to weed out the dumbasses.

My guess is that the evidence they are looking for is genetic - ie: who's the pappy?
