...and yet, he supports the government without question, so long as certain people have a (D) after their name.

LOL. You must be new here. Either that or you don't read my comments very closely.

...or I'm confusing you for Scooby.

All y'all loonies look the same to me everynow and then. Just like not always getting the difference between Bob and Pio.

I always liked how, with every iteration of the Marine Todd meme, the professor became more and more effeminate.

I never understood why he was "Todd." It may be from associations growing up, but I think of Todds as dweeby. Why not Marine Houston or Marine Enos or something a little more rednecky? Marine Dale -- perfect.

One of my favorite George Carlin bits is his "guys named Todd" routine.

I'll steal a line from those Gawker comments: "that marine's name? Albert Einstein." I think I've seen that one about the student beating the professor in a debate on God at least 50 times, all by the same group of people who I know are friends, so they've seen it before. Was it not important enough to share back when they first saw it? Did they forget? Were they feeling guilt and decided they needed to try to make it up with a crappy false internet meme?

I've always wanted to start one of those, just to see how much it spreads. I'm thinking I could get a good one going if I made up some evidence that Obama actually did 9/11.

Nah, Obama was too busy voting "Present" in the Illinois State Senate.

Well, she sure learned her lesson.

Gotta love "tough parenting." So smart, so caring, so effective.

Well, her dad got what he wanted; his daughter won't do that ever again.

I've not understood why people need to take things to such extremes - especially then to post them to YouTube. I learned plenty of lessons as a child without having them broadcast to the world. It's really time for America to grow up again.

Part of it is that some parents think they're better because they discipline their children, and want to set an example to those that don't. Maybe the father found out on Youtube about her "getting messed up", possibly with the hair wave, and thought an eye for an eye. Either way, it is always sad to see someone take their life, especially a child. May she rest in peace, and may we learn something from what happened to her.
