Guy takes a selfie with a Darth Vader cutout to send to his kids, gets Facebook shamed by woman who thought he was taking pictures of her kids.

As a 31 year old kinda weird looking bearded single male with some eccentric hobbies...this is my worst nightmare.
No idea what you're talking about...

Re: Nice Planet IX: Oh that's just GREAT...

I'd say something about helicopter parenting, but I guess this idiot is OK with leaving her 3 kids in front of a TV display, and thinking they will stay out of trouble and be safe while she heads off shopping.

Doxxing is never cool, people. It doesn't matter who they are, what they said, or what you think they might be up to. Don't be a vigilante.

Re: Nice Planet IX: Oh that's just GREAT...

Completely agree. I can't wait for someone to get sued back into the stone age for doxxing someone. And I mean taken for EVERYTHING.

Re: Nice Planet IX: Oh that's just GREAT...

In fact, I'd be OK with making that a felony with some prison time. It's just despicable.

Re: Nice Planet IX: Oh that's just GREAT...

I'm guessing that doesn't turn out well for the town.

Re: Nice Planet IX: Oh that's just GREAT...

There is one tiny kernel of truth within that galaxy of derp, though. Even in a world without bias, companies would (and should) reward people, regardless of gender, who go the extra mile. I don't know what a world without bias would look like (nobody does), but it's theoretically possible that even in that world, decisions about prioritizing work vs. other (any other, not just kids/family) might not break down exactly equally by gender. So even in that world, there would still end up a disparity in pay/achievement/advancement by gender.

Therefore, I think it's a rather lazy shortcut for people just to look at outcomes (salary disparity) and claim that they've proved something. If you want to prove bias exists (and I firmly believe that it does) - be my guest, and I'll 100% agree with you if you do a scientifically rigorous analysis. Mere data collection is not science.
