The 101 in CA currently shut down by a crowd of d-bags. As of now it looks like none of the drivers have concocted a right to plow their way through the crowd. Good thing for the crowd that Brenthoven isn't there, cause he'd TOTALLY do it...no really.

trying to take over the mass pike at night during thanksgiving traffic. let that sink in. and yes, i have a problem when a protest leads to random people not being able to travel from point a to point b. if i got stuck because of them, my first thought would not be to get all fuzzy about the good cause. good cause but terribly executed. and again, they could ultimately interfere with emergency situations. just doesn't make any sense. but then again, protesters often take on a mob mentality and think they can do whatever they want. i have no problem with protesting something, just don't be aholes about it.

The driver must have been in riot gear. He should have expected violence.

Again, I SAID THE DRIVER DID NOT PROCEED AT A SAFE SPEED. Keep them blinders on.

Again, what do you want them to do? What is appropriate?

That's the whole point of this. It's supposed to be a problem. It's supposed to be an inconvenience.

He wasn't moving at highway speeds. Per the law which Grind posted, he simply moved at an unsafe speed. The protesters still had a chance to move. It's not always black-white (pardon the unintentional pun, sincerely). They didn't move, so IMO, F 'em.

Well, could you really plow into a crowd with a Prius?? You might get a good ten feet or so into a crowd with it, but pretty soon the increasing load it would have to push against would really drain its batteries in a hurry. ;)

Probably because I haven't seen a protester NOT move out of the way of a moving car. Nice try, though.

ya, an inconvenience for people who had nothing to do with what they are allegedly upset about. that makes perfect sense, right? and again, the possibility of interfering with emergency situations. dumb, dumb, dumb.

i don't give a flying **** what's appropriate, i am responding to what they are doing. so if you want to be the one to pose a hypothetical, go for it.
