One of us has a severe reading comprehension issue, because I saw no mention in either article about a SWAT team.

Perhaps you are correct. I certainly would not know the measure of his character firsthand. However, "the system worked" seems like a bit of a smug and foolish comment to be making when you just took a relatively generous plea deal to avoid a court marshall for what effectively amounted to rape charges. At the very least, it seems he's admitting that he abused his position.

If a prosecutor wants to put the Deputy Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne Division in Leavenworth for almost the rest of the DCG's life, then the prosecutor needs an ironclad case. Unfortunately for him the case got political and its weakness exposed. In today's political climate, it would have been easy to get a conviction on the forcible sodomy charge if the evidence was there. But it wasn't and Sinclair escaped conviction. Had Sinclair gone to prison despite the weak evidence and testimony presented at trial, then the system would not have worked, right?

You are the one with the issue, because the article shows that there is no difference, as they both have the same gear.

I admit that I am not fully aware of the evidence against the general, so that is a fair assessment.

I see you're taking the easy way out. I don't always believe everything he says (as he is very pushy when it comes to religion), but when I do, I understand that he shows the truth in government corruption.

Some would argue that he has created his own religion.

He brings up Christianity quite a bit. Although, the talking points I hear are quite similar. At least I can have solace that if I ever do a materials science project and need to know the melting point of steel, I know where to turn. :D

Would think that it would be ok to delay things to where his mom and sister who needs the new ticker are all ready, have them track down a few other people who need new parts, have them all lined up to go, and when they're done harvesting the parts of him they need, then give him the hot needle, or simpler yet, start pulling tubes and cords out of him.

I think the fact is, he's already on death row. Therefore, why not harvest his organs for the sake of a non-offending family member, even if our government takes the correct procedures to ensure he lives as long as possible until they can stick a needle in his arm?
