Re: Nice Planet 5: Insert Catchy Title Here
It matters because some of the "victims" have been selected, for the optics. To make political points. I find myself repeating things to you, since you're apparently impervious: I don't support the shutdown. It's bad politics and worse policy. It's no way to run a government. And weakens us in the eyes of our enemies.
Nobody should be suffering. I'll repeat it: nobody should be suffering. But Neville chose to push those old vets around (even after Honor Flight people went to the WH to remind the administration that the old boys were coming). He miscalculated. Just like Reid miscalculated ("why would we want to do that?") and had to eat crow on the floor of the senate. It's hardly surprising, in fact, that a "community organizer" from Chicago would behave this way (you "never want to waste a crisis"). But it's interesting that after nearly a dozen posts on this subject, you steadfastly refuse to admit Neville crossed the line. You just can't do it, can you? Sad really.
Why does it matter which vets are being hurt by this?
The GOP's shut down is equally disgraceful and intentional.
If your heart bled for the military like you always claim, you'd be just as angry with them as you are "Neville."
The RAGE is strong in you. There's plenty to go around.
YOUR party's shut down. OWN IT.
