I've never heard of a raise for a union member being related to a review. That might happen in private company unions, but I doubt it would for a public union.If they really are stomping their feet and getting pouty that their proposed raise was "only" 4.5% per year, at a time when unemployment in Chicago is about 10%, that seems pretty silly from the outset. Do they even have to undergo a performance review to get a raise, or would it be automatic for every member as part of the union contract?
