Ditto. I disagree with the BSA, but it's a private organization. See also: Augusta golf.

Do public schools have the right to say which private/exclusive organizations can and cannot organize and meet in their buildings? This is a legit question, because I went to Catholic school from grades 2-12. It does not make sense that public schools should be able to do this unless the organization does not violate the state's laws of discrimination (and I'm sure there are still states in which sexual orientation is not grounds for a discriminatory claim), but I've never thought to look this up.

A public school is, by definition, funded by taxes and therefore a government entity. Traditionally, a government entity cannot deny someone or a group use of land who has followed proper procedure for renting space regardless of their beliefs or teachings, so long as they do no direct harm. In this case, the public school administration is making a decision based upon its political beliefs. It has likely put itself in a legally actionable position, if the BSA is so inclined.

ETA: Think of it as being similar/same situation as to how the KKK can legally get permits to gather or parade on public land. Chances are that the city doesn't like the group's politics and racism, but the city cannot deny the group a permit for a peaceful gathering.

I'm thinking far more nasty with him. Old school dunk tank, dollar for a throw to knock him off of his perch. Put a nose around his neck to pull him back up on the perch if he stops getting back up on the perch. Make sure the tank has lots of ice in it, and line the people up to just keep dunking him and dunking him until he either strangles or subcomes to hypothermia. People can also physically throw something at him to try to knock him off of his perch, but the target works the best.

Or load the tank with piranhas. Can we have Dr. Evil consult with us on this idea? :D

Remember those "$1 For A Shot" and you paid a dollar to hit a car with a sledgehammer? Can we do that with this guy, and use fists instead of a sledge? I have $20 I wouldn't mind spending....

Why bruise my fists when there's a perfectly good sledgehammer available?

I'm thinking it's more like 5% with 23% messing with the pollsters.[/QUOTE T]

What, exactly, is the basis for this optimism? The popularity of Jerry Springer? Psychic hotlines (featuring "certified" psychics)? Endless trolling TV spots by bottom feeding lawyers looking for greedy prospective clients? The inevitable serious responses to almost any Onion nitwittery? Truthers? Birthers? People who are seriously concerned about Bilderbergers, CFR, Tri-lateralists? JFK conspiracy kooks (this will doubtless be a big year for them, 50th anniversary and all)? Klan morons prattling on about ZOG and RAHOWA?

The basis is that I would mess with the pollsters, too.

What's the old adage?? That you should expect a silly answer when you ask a silly question? I could see a few people there wanting to screw with the pollsters. Hell, I would think the real people that think Lizard people exist would be scared to admit it because that would put them on the Lizard People's target list.

I didn't see anything about "I was wrong." That's all it would take for me to forgive her. "I made a terrible mistake. I was wrong. In the decades that followed, she has issued non-apology apologies: "I'm sorry if anyone took offense." People who refused to play ball with her propaganda dog and pony show, like John McCain, were tortured because of it.
