Re: Nice Planet 18: Welcome To Our Planet. Sorry It's So Messed Up.
The NYTimes has decided it is finally time to take down the true enemy of the people...a man who has done nothing but destroy people's lives and bring shame upon the world!
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Ronan Farrow has uncovered wrongdoing and is perhaps the most famous investigative journalist in America. But our media columnist <a href="https://twitter.com/benyt?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@benyt</a> looked deeper, and what he found revealed the weakness of what may be called resistance journalism. <a href="https://t.co/TCUxwXNImr">https://t.co/TCUxwXNImr</a></p>— The New York Times (@nytimes) <a href="https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1262172315397378050?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 18, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Needless to say like most things the Times does these days this did not go over well.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Who watches over 90,000 Americans die from a pandemic and decides yeah, we should do a hit piece on Ronan Farrow?</p>— Andrea R MD (@AndreaR9Md) <a href="https://twitter.com/AndreaR9Md/status/1262435302985080832?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 18, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Imagine thinking you could take a shot at Ronan Farrow using exactly the kind of slipshod tactics and vague aspersions Ronan Farrow has a Pulitzer for uncovering and dismantling. <a href="https://t.co/e7iLKypuNC">https://t.co/e7iLKypuNC</a></p>— Bess Kalb (@bessbell) <a href="https://twitter.com/bessbell/status/1262449922470625280?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 18, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Both the NYT and the NY Review of Books print hit pieces on Ronan Farrow on the same day. It's almost as if there was a coordinated effort to... oh, why bother? <a href="https://t.co/sUDjPB8irE">pic.twitter.com/sUDjPB8irE</a></p>— Prof Zenkus (@anthonyzenkus) <a href="https://twitter.com/anthonyzenkus/status/1262454779885817857?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 18, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
The consensus seems to be that either Farrow is coming out with a story that affects the Times soon OR he has something on Biden coming out soon. (that is what the Bernie Supporters are pushing) I think they just dont like that he gets credit for doing the stuff they used to be famous for. Now they employ second rate hacks like Maggie Haberman who make more factual errors (and were in bed with the Trump administration to the point of ****ed near slandering Hillary) ten times worse than what Farrow is accused of.
Speaking of Maggie The Compromised...she promoted the article:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">“if reporters swim ably along with the tides of social media and produce damaging reporting about public figures most disliked by the loudest voices, the old rules of fairness and open-mindedness can seem more like impediments than essential” tenets <a href="https://t.co/0WLPRBB0z7">https://t.co/0WLPRBB0z7</a></p>— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) <a href="https://twitter.com/maggieNYT/status/1262396791212904449?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">May 18, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Take a few minutes and read the replies...man people (especially Liberals) love to tell her how big of a hypocrite she and the Times are
edit: Hah someone posted a picture in response to Maggie of Maggie with Trump in the Oval Office and him giving the thumbs up. Man sometimes Twitter is fun
